[/quote]I was talking about how Sinister Serpent balanced out one of the -1's in the card and made the card, overall, a +1 if played correctly.

And because a card can be different +'s or -'s depending on which part of its effects can resolve.

The advantage it gives you cannot accurately be rendered in + or - because the Graveyard has advantages all it's own. Let's leave it at that.
