Synchronized
If you control a Fish, Aqua, or Sea Serpent-Type monster: You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn: You can discard 1 WATER monster; this card's Level becomes 3 until the End Phase. If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or by a card effect): You can target 1 face-up monster on the field; destroy that target So Cosmo Blazer (ironically) saw the release of 3-4 new "Shark" monsters, none of which are all that good. They focus on making other monster(s) and/or themselves Level 3 in order to work with the WATER Xyz such as Leviathan Dragon, Acid Golem of Destruction, and even Abysstrite. The problem is none of them are really worth running and at the same time can end up making a -1 Xyz not worth the effort. That's where Razor-Tail Shark comes in. While the fact that it's a Level 5 might look bad at first, it's extremely easy to Summon; all you have to do is control a Fish, Aqua, or Sea Serpent monster. It doesn't even have to be WATER, so the chances of you not being able to play it if you're running some of the BaniShark support is even lower. On top of that, if you want to use it as some sort of obscure tech in Mermails, you can use the second part of the effect to trigger Dragoons/Infantry/Marksman and gain some additional plays off of it, while using this and Abysslinde/Dine to make something. Overall, I think it's balanced and gives "Sharks" something new to try out.
Sora1499
There are better ways to trigger Atlanteans than this, honestly. Although, it's not bad with stuff like Cyber Shark (which is what I think you were going for). It's an extra deck toolboxer, which is useful, and the pop effect is slow bough to be balanced. So, overall, it is a balanced card indeed.

Well, as playable as Number 53 will ever be, I suppose. But it's badass so yeah.
Blake
Just saying it should Special Summon in defense position. A free to summon 2K beater isn't exactly a good idea and promotes OTKing way too much. Discard seems fine. On Paper, it's an awful idea because of how it costs you for toolboxing. And 53 is already "playable" because Lemuria, Nimbles, and Frogs are all things. It's just shit. Speaking of, this could be a funny tech there because of Swap Frog's ability to change the amount of monster on the field as well as enabling this to come out. Nimble Angler benefits from this card as well, so say you summon a level 2 WATER, use Lemuria, summon this, ditch Angler, get 2 and a R3 + R2. Still, seems a bit... lackluster. Card doesn't have any glaring issues on its own other than summoning in ATK for free.

I thought the fact that it's Level 5 would make up for the 2000 ATK, I mean you can't just drop it without controlling another monster so unless you're going for some sort of obscure combo where you're swarming the field, you're mainly using it to Xyz. But it also gets some support from A Legendary Ocean so I like that aspect of it, no?
Blake
ALO NSing it for 2000 is a lot different than Special Summoning it from hand for no cost in ATK. Especially when you can control multiples of the card.

Blake
I'd just make it SS in Defense. A free 2000 summon in attack is dubious design at best, and controlling multiples in DEF seems fine for a toolboxing card.
