Not-so-Radiant Arin
You can Special Summon this card from your hand by Banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 EARTH monster from your Graveyard. You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard by Banishing 1 LIGHT and 1 EARTH monster from your hand. When this card destroys an opponent's monster in battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can halve this card's ATK; This card can attack once again. This effect of "Wielder of the Chain Swords, Kalen" can only be used once per turn.
Because Dark Simorgh doesn't get enough love. And I absolutely love this picture. Sora1499
The main thing holding it back is lack of a good context. I have never seen a deck that can consistently get both LIGHTs and EARTHs in the graveyard, due to their respective archetypes being very single-focused. You could make the BLS argument, but I find that rather invalid given the fact that BLS is extremely powerful. As for the card in practice, it's underwhelming. Being a double attacker is *ok*, but then you had to go ahead and halve the poor guy's ATK in addition to banishing a spell from your hand to do so. On a 24 beater that doesn't climb much, this isn't much of a reward. Fixes: Boost the ATK to 25. Then, make its double-attacking effect banish a spell from the graveyard. I'd also consider amending the sumoning conditions as well, but due to your post, I don't think that you want to do that.

I dunno, I think I might make a LIGHT/EARTH Archetype solely for the sake of this card. And I think I'll just get rid of the Banishing a Spell part, because Splendid Rose does nearly the same thing. And I might bump it up to 2600.
