my first time trying to make cards, so any constructive criticism is appreciated.

 

monsters-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

gimmick puppet of phantasms
xyz 2500 attack 2500 defense
2 level 8 "gimmick puppet" monsters
up to twice per turn, during either player's turn, you can detach 1 xyz material from this card to banish 1 spell or trap card on the field
 
 
gimmick puppet - harlequin
level 8 1000 attack 1000 defense
if this card is discarded to the graveyard by a "gimmick" card's effect special summon it to your side of the field
 
 
gimmick puppet - shadow
level 8 500 attack 500 defense
if this card is attacked by an opponent's monster, discard 1 "gimmick" card, take damage equal to that monster's attack, then end the battle phase
 
 
gimmick puppet - paranoia doll
level 8 0 attack 0 defense
return 1 banished "gimmick puppet" monster to the graveyard and special summon this card from the grave. you can only use the effect of "gimmick puppet - paranoia doll" once per turn
 
traps----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 
gimmick box
normal trap
activate only when your opponent attacks you directly, discard 1 "gimmick puppet" monster and special summon this card to your side of the field as an effect monster(machine, dark, level 8, ?attack, ?defense) and end the battle phase. this card's attack and defense are equal to the monster that attacked you. if this card is destroyed while treated as an effect monster, take damage equal to this cards attack
 
 
xyz gimmick
normal trap
detach 1 xyz material from 1 "gimmick puppet" xyz monster you control, this card's effect becomes the effect of that monster, you can only this effect once per turn
 
 
counter gimmick
counter trap
banish 1 "gimmick puppet" monster from your hand or grave, negate the activation of an opponent's spell or trap and destroy it
 
spells----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 
puppet gift
quick-play spell
special summon 2 "puppet tokens" (level 1, dark, 1500 attack, 0 defense) in defense position to your opponent's side of the field, they cannot attack, be tributed or be used for a synchro summon. when a puppet token is destroyed by card effect, their controller takes 500 damage

Paranoia Doll is busted, even for a Gimmick Puppet.
It + Necro Doll, and as long as you have another Gimmick Puppet in your Graveyard, you can basically Xyz for a Gimmick Puppet(Likely, Strings for the 3K) out of nowhere, for no cost/drawback at all.

I like your approach to these, but they just seem like they are missing something.
