No other reason other than it was used in today's episode

3 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn, when this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon the destroyed monster to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Attack Position, but it loses 1000 ATK, and if you do Summon this way, this card can attack once again during this Battle Phase.

Aero Shark is god awful in RL. Aero Shark in the anime is extremely powerful in the amount of damage it can deal. That's why Shark uses it so often.

Shark barely even DUELS in the anime at this time. He dueled like 3 times, and two of those Duels were with no genuine stakes, hence no need to use Number 32.

I think this card is super badass. Veiss is meh because like Utopia Ray, the LP requirement to use its effect takes its usefulness down significantly, maybe even moreso when you consider it's much harder to bring out Shark Drake when you're losing that badly. Also, it tends to do a max of 2800 damage, whereas C39 can do 4000 fairly easily, and regular Shark Drake is just brutal. Veiss has its perks, but C39 at least has value even when you can't use the effect (preventing self-destruct, or stealing an opponent's Utopia, plus ZW support).
