it doesnt affect life points or the banished pile, so any deck that banishes opponents cards or does burn would love this. its not "setting people on even ground" its an OTK enabler. dont even pretend otherwise.

Again, what relevant deck banishes opponents cards? You're saying we should keep this banned because it *might* help a crappy deck become a little less crappy? How does that make sense? Also, the only good burn deck is chain burn and they don't even run morphing jar, so why would they run this?

OK how about Chainburn.dek?

And this is just OTKs GALORE. Spellbooks could abuse the hell out of it.

I've already addressed that.

Spellbooks? They sure as hell wouldn't bother with Fiber Jar.

True, cards can be "awfully designed" without being relevant, but that's assuming that Fiber Jar is awfully designed, which it's really not. Cards have to be viewed in a wider context. The game has changed to the point where Fiber Jar can in fact be considered a healthy card for game for the reason I stated before. I think a lot of people still have "ban-o-phobia" about a lot of cards that are still banned, without actually realizing that they aren't anything like they used to be.

The main thing is, if this were unbanned, it would make Macro and the like far more relevant, which would amount to people using badly designed decks with little skill in a big way whilst ruining an already broken format for the rest of us. Even if you overlook that, encouraging what is practically a giant restart button is not good design in the slightest.
