Zauls Posted March 23, 2013 Report Share Posted March 23, 2013 OK So what you do is get another copy of a Kabazauls and Sabersaurus and then put in 3 Jurrac Guaiba, 2 Rescue Rabbit, maybe a Snowman Eater or two, 2 Tour Guide and a Night Assailant, 2/3 Forbidden Lance and a couple of Macro Cosmos then loads of generic staples. Your Extra Deck should be generic Rank 3s and Rank 4s, including Leviair, 2 Evolzar Laggia and 2 Evolzar Dolkka and many other good Xyzs. Now you have Dino Rabbit. Zauls Posted March 24, 2013 Report Share Posted March 24, 2013 OK, since you're new to deckbuilding and seem to want a dino themed deck, I will take you through the entire thought process when making a good deck and hopefully it will help you out with this deck and others. I hope you don't mind a massive wall of text. [Spoiler=Explanation]A good deck is generally a maximum of 42, sometimes 43 cards. This gives you a better chance of drawing the cards that you want to draw and makes your deck more consistent. Try keeping to 40-41 in this case. Speaking of consistency, you also want to run as many copies of the cards that you want to draw as possible. You also don't want to be running just single copies of most cards as that also ruins the consistency. Now there's the problem of the deck's theme: Just putting a load of dinosaurs in a deck does not count as a theme as they don't actually work together to achieve the deck's goal. You need cards that support the deck's win condition (which for dinosaurs is always Xyz) which is why I suggested Rescue Rabbit, Tour Guide and Leviair (this s what all competitive decks that play dinos are like). Then there's the question of how you actually win. You need actual good Xyz monsters to summon rather than just ones that are dinosaur type, as you will be very limited in choice there. For starters, you want 2 copies of Evolzar Laggia and 2 Evolzar Dolkka. These guys are the reason people use Kabazauls and Sabersaurus with Rescue Rabbit. They lock down what your opponent can do and hurt the top decks very effectively. Now there is the problem of support cards for the deck that helps it to achieve its purpose. For this type of deck, is is traps. Lots of traps. This is because the deck doesn't play many monsters or spells because it doesn't need to, and traps help the lockdown purpose of the deck. Suggestions for traps in this deck are Macro Cosmos, Mirror Force, Solemn Warning, Solemn Judgment, Starlight Road and then its your choice really. There are a lot of cards that are viable. Other cards that support the deck's purpose include Jurrac Guaiba (a must have at 3 in this deck) and then a choice of Snowman Eater, Spirit Reaper, Neo-Spacian Grand Mole or maybe Thunder King Rai-oh. These are all considered anti-meta cards and one of either of them helps the deck a lot. Then there is Forbidden Lance, a fantastic card that serves many purposes by either protecting your monsters or lowering your opponent's monster's attack for Guaiba and such. I would suggest 2-3 of this. That is pretty much all except that your Extra Deck should include generic Rank 3s and 4s, and try to include the best ones. These will be Maestroke, Pappiloperative, Blackship of Corn (if you're american), Gagaga Cowboy and Utopia. Rank 3s are Leviair, Zenmaines, Acid Golem, Leviathan Dragon, Temtempo.
