I heard that there used to be an old ruling on this guy that for every time you sent him to the grave during a given turn, you'd get that many searches during the end phase.

Regardless, his deck is still fairly decent, just not meta material.

Yeah, it was released in the TCG first, but when the OCG got it, they re-ruled it. And thank goodness, it was messed up before.

 

I was thinking about this card, and how the Problem-Solving Card Text would differ based on the original ruling. The text itself probably won't be 100% accurate, but the gist would be portrayed.

 

Original (incorrect) ruling: "If this card was sent from your side of the Field to your Graveyard: During the End Phase, you can add 1 "X-Saber" monster from your Deck to your hand".

 

Correct ruling: "During the End Phase, if this card was sent from your side of the Field to your Graveyard this turn: You can add 1 "X-Saber" monster from your Deck to your hand."

I was playing X-Sabers during that time :) Ah the good old days. Unfortunately the deck is outspeeded by most of the meta these days, which is a worrying thought.

The Deck is still really consistent, it's just not anywhere near the level of some of the more powerful ones.  (i.e. Prophecies, Mermails, Prophecies, Prophecies, Prophecies, and Elemental Dragons.  Oh and Prophecies.)  You know, the Meta.

 It can be searched with Super-Nimble Mega Hamster and re-used with Debris Dragon, but then you don't have room for a lot of useful targets.
