Upon Activation you must Pay 1000 Life Points. Players cannot Xyz Summon.

 

Once per turn you can SS 1 DARK monster from your grave.

 

This card is a Support for the "True Ruler" Archetype, composed of DARK Psychic-Type monsters that (with 2 exceptions) can only be SS'd from the grave and(with 3 exceptions) must be Set when not Special Summoned. 

 

I posted this card because I wanted to see how balanced it is to the community. It can guarrantee an SS every turn, BUT its own effect can be negated, its can be easily removed by all the Spell/Trap Destroying cards and has a Life Point cost to try to keep it under some control.

When you're supporting an archetype that isn't made by Konami, you should really link us to it as it's likely that the reviewers have no clue what it is (like me).

 

As for the card, it's pretty broke. It shuts down an entire mechanic of Summoning bosses for the mere cost of 1/8 of your starting HP. Sure, MST is a card, but MST and Heavy are only 4 cards out of a Deck of 40. Slap this onto the field at your MP2 and the game is probably sealed in your favor until the end.

 

Then, you get a 1/turn free SS of any DARK monster form your Grave. ANY, as in... well, ANY. It's a CotH for the most supported Attribute with no restrictions whatsoever, and is a Spell, so you can use it on your turn. It's pretty broken. Stopping the main method of bringing out bosses in today's format should be reserved for cards that can't work just by paying 1k Life Points, and you really need to limit what you can SS with this card. Maybe just SS those "True Ruler" cards you're talking about.
