He also works really well with Librarian and the Chaos Tengu Dragons (as I found out recently), to the point where I'm considering putting a rank 5 in the deck. Pay a Chawa and a Dragon/Unused Tengu while you have Librarian out (-2 monsters). Synchro Ragin (+1 monster). Librarian Activates, then you activate the Dragon/Tengu, and then you active Ragin. Ragin Resolves first (+2 cards drawn, if hand was empty), Dragon/Tengu resolves (+1 tengu or other Dragon in hand), Librarian resolves (+1 draw). You paid 2 cards, and you got 5 cards in return.
