tsunamaru
ummm... so i like manga a lot and decided to make a tribute to the top 3 mangas out there. note: i made those cards purely for fun 2nd note: none of the images are mine First we have a monster from the Naruto series [attachment=37201:underdog naruto.jpg] Then a Spell from the one piece series [attachment=37202:one piece.jpg] then a trap from bleach [attachment=37203:final getsuga tensho.jpg] And finally the card that makes you win. Xi-1
Okay, so Naruto hits your opponent and then vanishes? That basically just makes him a Glass Canon, and not a particularly strong one, either. What does "We Found One Piece" do besides make you show it to your opponent before it's banished? Useless card with useless effect is useless. Nobody will want to run it in a Deck because it doesn't do anything for the player. It just takes up one of the 60 cards you can have in a Deck. Watch your grammar on "Final Getsuga Tenshou" to make sure you get it right. I almost feel like this is a direct strike against my "Smiles for Swordsmen" card, but I made sure the summon effect at least could not be negated, because it also costs half your Life Points to use. Also ironic as I intended for "Smiles for Swordsmen" to be used with some leveling Ichigo cards I never ended up making. "Heroes Through Different Dimensions" should not have a period at the end of its name. Its summoning condition is too easy for the auto-win effect, and its stats are way too low for its Level. You realize if its effect gets negated, you're seriously boned with 0 ATK. Please try again.
tsunamaru
Well i tried to relate the effects of the cards with manga-related stuff, one piece representing the treasure the main character seeks, naruto being an underdog loser at the beginning of the series and final getsuga tensho being bleach's main character's final move. Though those effects may seem useless they are important story-wise, also i dont know what "Smiles for Swordsmen" is, and i apologize if it seemed like it was a direct strike against your card. As for "heroes through dimension", i dont think its so easy to summon, because you would have to fulfill the requirements of the 3 previous cards, wich to me looks like a real challenge. That is why i tried to make all 3 cards really different and random, as well as make it kinda hard to remove them from play for the finisher. I guess i should make it state: the summon of this card cannot be negated..... or something like that. In conclusion I thank you for actually taking the time to comment my cards and give me an honest opinion.
Xi-1
As someone who has already made a number of sets based on many different series, I would be most concerned with an accurate reflection of the character. If I was to make cards based on Naruto, Ichigo, and Luffy I would probably make them Leveling Monsters, so I could reflect their growth throughout their stories. The inclusion of self-banishing effects are what I find most awkward for these characters, since I do not know of any reason to include them. Perhaps if you explained why you decided on this effect I would understand. For Fusion Summons, most often I use Contact Fusion because it is simple and does not require a "Polymerization" or "Fusion Gate" card -- or a Tuner Monster. My higher-level Fusion Monsters require banishing of the fusion material monsters instead of just tributing them. This is to prevent a quick re-summoning of those high-powered monsters if they are destroyed. "Smiles for Swordsmen" is one of my spell cards. You can find it in my Cuteness Counterattack Set. What it does is, if you control cards that level-up you banish the ones you have on the Field together with all other versions lower than the ones you want to summon. You pay half your Life Points on top of banishing all of the cards lower than the versions you want to summon, then you gain 500 Life Points for every card you just banished. It's basically a quick way to get your powerful monsters onto the Field. As a secondary effect, if "The Seal of Orichalchos" is in play "Smiles for Swordsmen" allows you to summon up to 10 monsters, divided evenly between an Attack Tier and a Defense Tier. Monsters in the Attack Tier can only be summoned in Attack Position, and their Battle Position cannot be changed. Likewise, with monsters summoned into the Defense Tier, with the additional benefit that monsters in the Defense Tier cannot be targeted if there is a monster in front of them in the Attack Tier. Ideally, the monsters in the Defense Tier would also have effects to boost and support the monsters in the Attack Tier, making them more difficult to knock out.
