Today in History Class, we started a chapter on Arabic and Islamic Culture. Thus this set will be based upon the Arabic story of One Thousand and One Nights.

This card cannot be Special Summoned. When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned successfully, you and your opponent split your Deck in half. Place the top half of your Deck to the side of the playing field. This is treated as a "Secondary Field". There can only be 1 "Secondary Field" during a duel. Both players draw 5 cards. These cards can only be played on a "Secondary Field". Cards played on the field do not effect the "Secondary Field". Cards played on the "Secondary Field" do not affect the field. During each of your turns, complete your turn once on each field.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

In the story, King Shahryar marries a new wife each day and has her killed the next. However, when he marries Scheherezade, she has a plan. She entertains the king with 1001 stories of Arabic legends and folklore, thus saving her life when the king realizes he loves her. Because of this method of telling the story, there are many short stories within a larger story. Like in this card, the two fields become short stories within a larger story, the duel.

In the story, Alladin finds a magical ring and magical lamp, each hosting a Djinni. The one of the lamp grants his wishes and he marries a princess, but Alladin, with the help of the lesser Djinni of the ring, must face an evil sorcerer. In my card, will you get your wish?

It is a very unique effect!! And, since it is new, there isn't really any set OCG, so I can't really mark you down or up for it (so you automatically get all of them :D). Also, the pic definitely suits the card, so that's excellent, too! All-around, very good.

overall - 13.57 + 1.00 for creativity bonus = 14.57/13.69 ^_^ (only the second time I've given out more than 13.69. the other was to Dj Osiris ;))

Actually, the story was originally Persian. However, stories from Baghdad, which was part of the Muslim Empire, were added. These stories were stories of Abbasid Caliphs. Caliphs were Muslim leaders in the Muslim Empire. So yes, it does have something to do with Islam.

Thanks for the rating:)

Players play a MAGIC subgame, using their libraries as their decks. Each player who doesn't win the subgame loses half his or her life, rounded up.
