Ganbara Lancer, is this just a pack filler?

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Ganbara Lancer" from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Defense Position.

Comes in the Super Starter: V - for Victory.

Is there a combo that makes this card good or?

Because it looks pretty shit to me.

Meant deck filler, not pack, w/e

Pros:
- Instant Rank 5.
- LIGHT, so contributes to Pleiades
- Half decent DEF stat
- Effect flexibility

Cons:
- Requires a Normal Summon
- 1000 ATK

It's honestly not as awful as people are making it out to be. Especially in the deck that he was made to be in. (Rank 5 turbo)

I think the big issue is that Rank 5 turbo works a bit better with Zaborg and Illusion Snatcher.

...You don't even know what Rank 5 Turbo is. Lol.

It's where you play a whole bunch of monsters that can make a Rank 5 out of nothing. Zaborg really isn't needed in the deck because you don't want to be normal summoning him. You'll want Ganbara because of Pleiades plays though.

Only thing I like about it is what Yuma used it to summon, Volcasaurus. Its crap IRL though.

Ah, such a wonderful moment. The moment we realized Ganbara Lancer was Level 5, and that the "Number" vortex was forming instead of the red "not-a-Number" vortex.

Okay, so the preview had totally told us he'd Summon Volcasaurus and Atlanthal, but that didn't make us less overjoyed to see "61" appear on the screen in Number font.

It's a nice concept, I guess, but slow and prone to clogging.
