2 Level 4 Monsters
This card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each Xyz Material attached to this card.
Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; "Laval" Monsters you currently control gain 600 ATK. When this Monster is Destroyed while it has Xyz Material, take 1000 Damage.
Is this broken?

I'm sorry, but this absolutely does not help Laval's OTK in any way. The OTK is based on quickly summoning Quasar Star Dragon, who deals 8000 Damage exactly through 2 attacks. Increasing Laval ATK does not aid the combo in any way possible; it simply aids Laval in a Beat-down sort of fashion - something that they do not need. Just throwing it out there.

Now, aside from the combo, this card is overpowered. Yes, I understand that the 1000 damage might balance it and the 600 ATK gain is a balanced eff (don't worry, 600 is not too much ATK increase); however, the fact that it's a 3000 ATK Xyz makes it OP. No other factor plays in it except for the fact that you can easily Special Summon him (even in non-Laval decks) and boom, you have a 3000 ATK giant. I'm sorry, but it's too much.

I'm going to give you a tip: make the requirements for his summon 2 Level 4 "Laval" monsters, because the thing that makes him really OP is this: Normal Summon "Summoner Monk", activate eff, overlay the two, and there you go, 3000 ATK Xyz. So, if you do that, it might be okay, but for now it's 6/10.

... Do you even use Lavals? There is much more to it than just the Quasar. And this card can't even go over 3000 on itself.

Has 2000 with 2 Materials, detach 1, it is now at 2300 which is really easy to get over. Detach another one and it's at 2600, which again is still easy to get over.

Try again m8.

Most people just use it for the infamous Quasar OTK or the less insane Red Nova build.

OT: As I don't actually play Laval outside of the Red Nova one, I really can't put a fair judgement on this one. From what I see though, the card makes for a good beater in Laval decks that they don't need. When I see the title, I was expecting something along the lines of "Special Summon X 200 DEF FIRE monsters from Y", not ATK gain. This thing on it's own is just a 2K beater at first, pumped up to 2300 after it's first detach, and finally 2600 for it's final one. Although I can see it being ran on a weird, Firedog based OTK thing, it really doesn't support the existing Flamvell OTK. I don't really see a problem with it, I just don't think it's support that actually supports what it's supporting.

I have played Lavals, yes. And I do accept the fact that people play it for the Quasar OTK, or the Red Nova one, two things that you can't deny. I'm not trying to insult you here, I'm trying to give you the honest truth - most often Lavals are not played for their high ATK.

As for the 3000 ATK thing, that's totally my bad, I thought it said that it gains 800 ATK for each material, but I guess my eyes easily deceive me. :P In any case, I still think it needs limitations. It could easily go to 2600 and that's still a big beater - thus, make it only so that Lavals can use him.

I still stick with the fact that he doesn't aid the Laval OTK though.
