Lore: 2 Level 4 Monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target up to 3 Counter Trap Cards in your Graveyard; add those targets to your hand. So it could be used with counter fairies although it's useful in any deck with a decent number of counter traps. I guess most people would prefer Utopia or Pappiloperative but it's still kinda useful in some decks. Except for a few minor details: Counter Traps, especially the ones used in today's meta, are rather powerful (especially considering that said Counter Traps are currently Limited for a reason). The fact that you have it adding 3 Counter Traps is rather much. Personally, I'd have it so that you can only add 1 Counter Trap to your hand but be unable to activate it or a card with the same name until your next turn. Heck, you might even be able to get away with shuffling 2 Counter Traps in order to draw a card, but I could be wrong. Beyond that, I can see this being used in Counter Fairies, given his Typing. uberkrasch Posted April 23, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 23, 2013 Thanks bro :) don't think i can raise the defense much as its already the highest for an xyz with 2 level 4 or lower (drawn with bahamut shark and ignoring acid golem because its eff is horrible) guess i could boost the atk a bit to maybe 2000, although it was really intended to protect a more powerful monster rather than attaking. However more attack would obviously make it more usable, so i'll probs do that. Thanks King II aswell. I guess you're refering to things like solemn judgment and solemn warning etc when you say counter traps are too powerful? I didn't really consider these when making this card. I just wanted it for things like seven tools, dark bribe etc to protect another monster. Do you think '... target up to 3 Counter Trap Cards in your Graveyard, except Counter Traps whose effects include negating a summon(s) ...' would be balanced?
