The build I've been testing. So far, it seems pretty solid. No proving grounds or tenkis because once you have 1 GB you essentially have all of them, and really it felt unnecessary. I want generally 1-2 monsters in my opening hand, I don't particually like to get flooded with monsters, and those cards promote that, so I opted not to run them, and it doesn't seem to make a massive difference to the consistency of the deck. I haven't had any trouble getting my plays off in most of my testing games, even after cutting proving grounds. I don't like the HERO engine here, I never have and I probably never will. So, please don't suggest it. I have everything IRL except DDW, which I'm getting in the mail in a few days. Blackship of Corn isn't legal in Europe. Mirror Force is still being tested, it seems okay on the grounds that it wipes all their attackers off board, usually allowing your Glad(s) to swing for direct and tag out, as well as doing a meh to decent job at stopping overextention from decks like Hieratic and Karakuri. I side Waboku because it stops OTKs, but has more versatility in this deck than Roar. I want to test Mind Control here. It seems pretty good. Mind Con their monster, swing with your glad, tag out, do some shit, and then overlay with their monster.

Side needs work, though. Thoughts?

No, I will not die.

It's funny because I actually came to this section for the first time to post my own Glad rendition.

Honestly, I don't see how Glads could work without Rabbit, Test tiger, Fire fists or the Hero engine unless we're back in 2008.

If you have any intention of playing Glads to actually win then not running Fire fists is complete idiocy. Test tiger works in any set-up in my opinion, especially if you're running pure Glads and considering you have a stupid amount of 3's you can xyz too easily. You've no idea how many times I've opened with tiger+murm into zenmaines. Rabbit runs well too, but I can see how someone wouldn't run it because it takes 5 slots and fuck you over fairly easily if you draw into 2 Andals. Prisma is also ridiculously strong in my opinion simply because Besti is limited to 1 and getting him to the graveyard is imperative for Darius plays. You honestly don't need to run Strat/HERO lives, I run him flawlessly on his own.

The thing with glads is; yes you can tag them in and out which allows for much flexibility and yes searching is a thing, but they require you to actually attack something. I honestly have no idea how you plan on safely attacking for the tag against the massive monsters in this day and age without Waboku, Safe zone, or Infected mail.

I have no idea what appalls me more, the fact that you don't run a Glad hybrid when they're proven to be ridiculously strong or that you don't run basic Glad cards such as Test tiger , Waboku, and Proving ground.

Glads only work if played offensively, remove the Snowmans and Reaper. Also reduce your spells/traps, that's far too much seeing as though you don't even run any searchers.

-1 Reaper

-2 Snowman

+1 Darius/Laq

+1 Murm

+3 Test tiger

+1 Prism

+1 Secutor

-2 Duality

-2 Smashing

-1 Lance

+3 Proving grounds

+2 Infected Mail

-2 Chains

-1 Bottomless

-1 Dimensional

-2 Solemn's

-1 Torrential

+2 Waboku

Pretty sure that's 40, both in cards and minutes exerted.

Rabbit Glads are pretty bad. I don't like Tiger outside of the AHL build. I don't see why I should bother with Fire Fist considering why would I ever need Tenki? I want my GBs in my deck, once I have one or two, I have enough, I'm not saying it's a bad engine, it isn't, it just isn't to my taste. I don't need to be dead drawing Tenkis and Gorillas the whole game when I'm trying to draw defensive backrow. Just running Prisma without the consistency boosters sounds pointless. It's only really good turn 1, and only if you have another GB or a Tiger. I'd rather not. You safely attack by removing their stuff with Snowman and Smashing, Lance their bigger monsters to run them over, and just attack the smaller stuff. You also use all the defensive backrow to control the field really well. Infected Mail is pretty horrible. Safe Zone is a legitimate point but I have a love:hate relationship with the card, and I really don't like it here either. You don't need Waboku when you have this much control, 3 lance included. You side it because it is versatile in certain matchups, and stops OTKs. And no, Glads are a Grind/Control deck. They win by constantly +1ing off Tag-Ins, controlling the opponent's board and 141'ing to thin the opponent's resources down. You rarely ever should just go balls walls aggro, that's the quickest way to lose with a deck like this, considering it doesn't have the amazing aggression of Karakuri nor the amazing recovery ability of E.Dragons.

-1 Reaper Discarding your Opponent's stuff after controlling their board is amazing and it's also a wall.

-2 Snowman It's an out to big stuff.

+1 Darius/Laq 2 is enough of each.

+1 Murm I'm never going to need 2.

+3 Test tiger I don't like drawing hands of triple tiger smashing and proving ground, so eh. Extreme example, but you get the idea.

+1 Prism This also sounds extremely inconsistent.

+1 Secutor Secutor is a cute tech but I haven't found it to work very well.

-2 Duality Early game consistency is good

-2 Smashing Removal is good here

-1 Lance Lance is the nuts. It also protects Bestiari from BTH.

+3 Proving grounds Nah.

+2 Infected Mail Nah.

-2 Chains Chain is amazing

-1 Bottomless Nah

-1 Dimensional Nah, this is also the nuts against anything but E.Drags

-2 Solemn's Solemn Brigade is good though

-1 Torrential But like, Torrential is the best Trap right now

Night Beam seems really, really random, but I'll try it. I also want to test Samnite to search my Chariots.

i wouldnt try night beam. its performance has always been pretty mediocre except in otk decks. 2 mst is fine and mst has the advantage of being chainable and disruptive. if you want it down to 40 cards i would personally cut one of chain or chariot but its not necessary.
