evilfusion
Outclassed by Golem because this card can actually kill YOU before it kills the opponent. Not only is 2500 very solid to give your opponent for just one of their monsters (Golem's 3000 is acceptable because it takes 2 of their monsters), but it has an effect to inflict 1000 damage to you by getting rid of any of their cards, and only burns them if they don't or can't get rid of a monster. Golem will inflict the burn, and does it during the Standby Phase, where it's harder to counter, and if the opponent only has 1000 or less, they die. This waits until the End Phase to burn, so they can probably get an attack on you, or otherwise get rid of this card before the damage occurs, and they can essentially negate that damage. Sora1499
Less situational than golem, less potential to backfire (hehe), but lacks golem's power.
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Also, I'm wondering about the large space in between the two effects and wondering if it was intentionally written that way, or it was just a derp on Konami's part. Probably intentional, to distinguish between the Summon Condition and related details, and the Ignition/Trigger Effects.

If that's the case, then Konami should do that more often so that people won't be so befuddled when it comes to rulings with long text effects. They kind of do already, with the Problem-Solving Card Text.
ihop
It was a legit side when Perfect Herald was good as your opponent only ever had 1 monster out until Kristya hit the field at which point Golemw as useless.
ekko1990
Fun thing with this is that now you have a lot of monsters you can just special summon from your hand that will beat a defense possition queen in battle.
TheKaitoKid
Another issue with this is that it's Level 6. Being Level 8 meant that Lava Golem was harder to do things with whereas this can be used to make a Level 7 or 8 or even a Rank 6 (not likely but possible). 玄魔の王
This card has its plusses and minuses. Giving your opponent a monster like this carries extreme risk, but it's easier for you to kill it than Golem was and it's live far more often.I personally like it, but I can see why some people wouldn't. It noms all day on buckets of Dolkkas, Laggias, and Shock Masters. Don't forget Dracossacks and RaiDas, Tiger Kings, Garunixes, Abyssgaios-es... the list goes on and on. It's a boss killer plain and simple. Another issue with this is that it's Level 6. Not all that likely in the right match-up at all. Dragon Rulers can't do it at all.

Golem is much better agains Dragossack and they don't tend to have just RaiDa on the board either. Not all that likely in the right match-up at all. Dragon Rulers can't do it at all. 玄魔の王
Golem is much better agains Dragossack and they don't tend to have just RaiDa on the board either. The statement wasn't that Queen was better for hurting Dragon Rulers than Golem, it was that Queen has tons of potential targets. Except they easily can because they just summon Corseca/Veiler. And do what, Black Rose the field? I suppose it's not like I can stop that at all or... Oh wait, yeah I can.

The point is that they can get rid of the Queen instantly, even if you have something to stop the Black Rose which is unlikely, as if you Fiendish Chain/Veiler it all they do is Xyz. Know who can get rid of the Queen faster? You, the player who dropped it. Because 1200 DEF stands up to nothing at all. Even if they used it as material, you still god rid of something that was otherwise a problem.

I'd rather not waste a card, lose my normal summon and give my opponent fodder if you can't get over it just to get over 1 monster when the only thing you can't Compulsory is RaiDa and most other things have so much better outs. darkwolf777
In my Remove Brainwashing deck, I had used both Golem and This. It was a pretty fun deck. There's nothing that really protects monsters from being Tributed that's used, and regardless of a 2500 or 3000 beater that burns themselves or you (in Volcanic Queen's case), sometimes their beaters may be something more to fear. There's just no reason most of the time to run Queen or Golem without something in your deck that works with it (like stall or Remove Brainwashing). TheKaitoKid
Watts can work with this card. After you get the hopperlock up, you get rid of their threat monsters, you just sit a burn/swing for 1000-1200.
