Jspamax's Magician's Meeting Ground

 

Broken-down Review:

 

Effect:

- You can Special Summon 1 Spellcaster each turn

- You lose life points in return

 

Why I like this card:

- It gives some Spellcaster Support

- The effects seems to be very balanced

 

Ratings and Reviews:

 

Effect:

I like this card because it give support to one of my favorite types, Spellcasters. What really makes this balanced though is that most Spellcasters that most people used ( Magician of Faith, Breaker, etc.) Are cards that are only useful for Magician-Based decks. So it couldn't be abused in the metagame, unless you were running DMOC. But even if you are running DMOC, you get bite in the rear end! You lose Life Points equal to half the amount of the Special Summoned Monsters ATK and DEF. The only thing that bothers me is that this card has potential to end a game rather quickly if used correctly, since the Life Points thing is a real big draw back.

 

Rating: 85/100

 

Running it in a Deck:

This card would be rather easy to run in any deck. It's Field Card, so you could run it in any deck. But for it to be any good you would need atleast 2-3 Spellcasters in your deck. This card would definitely be good in a Spellcaster Deck, with it's easy Special Summon effect.

 

Rating: 80/100

 

Picture / Name Choice:

 

It's okay, nothing special. The light though does ruin the picture a little. Maybe a little bit of enhancement would have helped the picture. The pic doesn't really show a meeting, just Spellcasters standing around.

 

Rating: 60.5/100

 

Metagame Useful?

 

Err, it could be sort of useful. You would have to run DMOC, and maybe a couple of Chaos Command Magicians, and other strong Magician cards. But if you did that it would be more of a Spellcaster deck wouldn't it? So in my opinion, this card has not much of a use in the Metagame.
