Zazubat
Surprising that I havn't seen this before. Fairy-Type LIGHT Level 4 1800/1000
When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, you can add 1 Counter Trap Card from your Graveyard to your hand.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Lets you reuse the Solemn Duo and doesn't really slack off on the offensive like Mask of Darkness does, which is pretty neat. The problem is that outside of that, it's Dunames Dark Witch. If any Deck would run Dunames, it would be for the vanilla support it gets from things like Rabbit, things that this won't have. Plus, the Solemn cards mow down the Life Points pretty quickly. An extra negation is nice, but you're practically dead by the time you use the second Solemn card. Combine that with the fact that the Solemn Duo is only one or two cards and that this card would be Dunames nearly all of the time. And while it is ok since you get to go "GOD SAYS NO" again, in order to activate the effect, you would need to let it die. In battle. You would have to keep this on the field rather than Synchro/Xyz Summon and futilely hope that your opponent doesn't throw effect destruction at it. Mask of Darkness, on the other hand, gets to avoid destruction that works on only face-up monsters and grants you a Trap that you've already expended. Even if an extra TT would be handy, it eats your Normal Summon, needs a Trap to get in the Grave (the difficulty of which varies, obviously), and will often wind up as a one-trick pony. But yeah, Harvest Angel was pretty much only a beater that gave you stuff for dying, which made it useful for Counter Fairies in the past. But now, it's not all that reliable due to speed issues and effect destruction galore. Besides, you can use Van'dalgyon/Voltanis as a better beater who look cooler at doing it too. Suibon
Pretty much a mainstay for Counter-Fairies -- if anybody still plays the deck (oh fuggit, remembers -- this is 2013 after all). Handy beatstick that's able to kick its share of ass that gives you a Counter-Trap as it dies in battle. Pretty much dead outside Counter-Fairies, though, since recycling Solemns makes your Life Points cry, and because destruction-by-battle effects is so 2007. (Oh, my age -- it creaks.)
