PrimeAceJohn
So I've been dueling a lot lately and the only shit i see is Dragon Rulers, Prophecies, and Mermails. I mean, if you REALLY want to play with the new decks, at least use Fire Fists, they aren't all that bad I guess. I've played with them here and there. So I made this card that, if it existed, would maybe bring them back, I can see this card being sometimes a dead draw or somewhat slow so edits are appreciated! LORD OF THE FIRE FISTS FIRE * * * * * * * [Dragon / Effect] ATK/ 2800 DEF/ 1400 You can Special Summon this card, (from your hand), by destroying 3 face-up "Fire Formation" Spell or Trap cards you control and shuffling 3 "Fire Fist" monsters from your Graveyard into your Deck. When this card is successfully summoned, you can place 1 "Fire Formation" Spell or Trap Card in your Deck directly face-down. While you control a face-up “Fire Formation” Spell or Trap Card: This card is also treated as a Beast-Warrior-Type Monster. Once per turn, you can banish 1 "Fire Formation" Spell or Trap in your Graveyard or face-up on the field: Destroy 1 card on the field. This card cannot attack the turn you activate this effect. Strider Tigerwolf
It's not what Fire Fists need nor is it something they would want to run. In fact, Fire Fists in general don't need any more support (and by contrast need Chicken banned and Tenki either Limited or Semied, probably along with Bear). Anyways, onto the card itself: Special Summon from hand by destroying 3 Fire Formations and then banishing 3 Fire fists. The only real issue with this summon is that Fire Fists don't want to be banished from the Grave and instead want to use their Grave as a 2nd Deck to toolbox from with the use of Wolfberk and Spirit so banishing 3 really does a number on your options. 2nd Effect, standard set from deck is okay. 3rd Effect makes the card less than okay. Banishing Fire Formations and then ANOTHER Fire Fist to boot for 1 destruction is okay, but given the conditions of the Summon, the fact that you'd likely not want to Normal Summon this nor use cards like Call of the Haunted/Reborn/etc to revive it makes it even less promising. And then there's the structure of the card itself. It has literally NO synergy with FIRE Beast-Warriors as it's a Dragon-Type monster, it's a Level 7 meaning that although it would like to attempt to bring Rank 7 plays or Synchro Plays, it can't do it as the card would like to because of those hefty Summon Conditions. The only thing in general it has going for it is the fact that it's a 2800 Beater...and that's it. Oh and to put a little more hurt, this actually (design wise) would probably run far more better in a Dragon Ruler deck. Why? It's Level 7 (Big Eye/Dracosak) It's FIRE (Burner gets more fuel/Inferno has a friend) RedRum will get you this guy + Tenki which means you can run Bears in Dragon Rulers now. The card fails to support Fire Fists directly and indirectly gives more options for Dragon Rulers...I don't think that's the very aim you were going for. Suggestions: MAKE IT BEAST-WARRIOR!! Give it an easier Summon Condition. Heck, make it Level 5 so it can Support the cards that we don't really run: Swallow/Coyote. GET RID OF ALL THE BANISH! PrimeAceJohn
Thanks, Chance, for replying. I wanted it to be level 7 for a big reason - bringing Dragossack and Eye into the Fire Fist Deck. This card + Blaster = Game. How can this deck stand a chance against Dragossack and Eye by itself? It NEEDS ways to get the big guns out. Yes, 3 Blasters + 2 Incarnates CAN bring Big Eye or Sack out but probably only once. To beat Mermails and Eye you need to counter them by using your own. Basically saying, I'm trying to get a Dragon Ruler somewhat run into this deck. Yes people say "We had enough of these Dragon Rulers!" "Screw Dragon Rulers!", etc., but even though I hate it, we have to deal with this new meta. In order to deal with this meta, we can either: 1: Find ways to get around it. 2: If you can't beat em', join em'. However, I do very much agree with your suggestions and much will be put into use. Edited.
