Ren✧
2 Spirit Monsters This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by banishing the above cards from your hand. (You do not use "Polymerization".) This card cannot be Special Summoned, except by its own effect. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Spirit Monster from your hand or Graveyard, ignoring Summoning conditions. Monsters Special Summoned by this card's effect are returned to the hand during the End Phase of the turn they are Summoned. If this card would be returned to the Extra Deck: You can discard 1 Spirit Monster instead. During your End Phase, if you control this face-up card: Return it to the Extra Deck. If this card is returned to your Extra Deck: You can add 1 banished Spirit Monster you control to your hand. You can only control 1 face-up "Soul Thief." Therrion
A very creative idea, but a little weak. The upkeep on the card is a tad to difficult, and the banishing directly weakens the second effect. While yes, you could destroy a monster, Summon a Spirit, and bounce that Spirit and discard to maintain this card on the field, you just removed all the pluses it granted you. I wouldn't mind just seeing an effect when it is returned to the Extra Deck to mend the minus you suffered for the Summoning of the card. Something like "When this card is returned to the Extra Deck: You can target 1 banished Spirit monster; add it to your hand." or, perhaps you could make it banish a Spirit from your graveyard and have a Gold Sarcophagus effect. Alright, I added in that effect. Allowing it to grab a banished spirit monster.
Therrion
Well I meant as opposed to the option of keeping this guy on the field, but I guess it isn't ridiculous to have both as options, as it ends in the same way. When bounced, he would return half of what was used to Summon him, and the monster he Summoned (assuming he did destroy a monster by battle) would also return to the hand, providing a next turn Summon. I really like it that way, it feels like a "Boss Monster" of Spirits, so to say.

Well it was originally meant that each turn he would have to discard to keep him on the field, so I changed it to every End Phase you would have to discard to keep him on the field. Does that change your judgment of the card?
Therrion
I feel that you won't Summon him if he never yields a plus for you, in which he wouldn't provided you pursue the route that he discards for himself, and he may end up minus-ing even more if you can't destroy something in battle every single turn (assuming you love him so much to not just let him go back to the ED in shame). I know how it was originally intended, I was simply stating how lackluster he was due to that cost. If your opponent is running Spirits and happens to get one of theirs banished, then this guy can add their monster to your hand, a general "no no" in Yu-Gi-Oh! (Make sure it targets only your banished Spirit monsters) though this is a minor error.
