Gensokian Posted June 15, 2013 Report Share Posted June 15, 2013 Having found myself not truly satisfied with one of my older creations, I've decided to revamp the archetype and give it a few additions in the form of the Awakened Synchro monsters. While the main concept is the same--Gemini monsters that like to bring each other out to battle and keep themselves from being removed from the field--, it's seen a few tweaks, and some cards have had major overhauls. I'll let you all be the judge for how well they may be. Monsters: Sleeping Sparrow WIND Winged-Beast/Gemini Level 2 500/500 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: This card is treated as a Tuner Monster. Up to twice per turn: if there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, you can Normal Summon a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. Sleeping Wizard LIGHT Spellcaster/Gemini Level 2 300/300 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: This card is treated as a Tuner Monster. If this card is removed from the field for the Synchro Summon of an "Awakened" Synchro Monster, select 1 of the non-tuner material monsters; Special Summon it in face-down Defense Position. Sleeping Fairy LIGHT Fairy/Gemini Level 3 500/1500 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: This card is treated as a Tuner Monster. Once per turn: if a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster is removed from the field, you can Special Summon 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Deck with a level lower than the removed monster. Sleeping Necromancer DARK Spellcaster/Gemini Level 3 0/2000 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: Once, during your Main Phase, you can Special Summon 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Graveyard, and treat it as an Effect Monster with its effects. During the End Phase you activate this effect, flip both this card and the Special Summoned monster into face-down Defense Position. Sleeping Barbarian EARTH Warrior/Gemini Level 4 1900/0 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, it can attack once again in a row. During a turn that a "Sleeping" Gemini monster is removed from the field, this card gains 400 ATK until your opponent's next End Phase. Sleeping Bear EARTH Beast/Gemini Level 4 1900/300 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: Once per turn, if a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster you control would be removed from the field by an opponent's card effect, it is not. You cannot activate this effect if there is an Effect Monster in your Graveyard. Sleeping Demon DARK Fiend/Gemini Level 4 1500/1200 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: If there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard: once per turn, you can halve the ATK of 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls. Sleeping Knight EARTH Warrior/Gemini Level 4 1700/1300 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Sleeping Tiger EARTH Beast/Gemini Level 4 1600/600 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Deck. It cannot attack this turn, and cannot be Normal Summoned until the end of your next turn. Sleeping Manta WATER Fish/Gemini Level 5 2200/1800 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: When this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, if there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, draw 1 card, and switch this card to Defense Position. Sleeping Tree EARTH Plant/Gemini Level 6 0/2500 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: This card's original DEF becomes 3000. If a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster you control would be attacked, you can change the target to this card. Flip this card into face-down Defense Position after that battle. Sleeping Angel LIGHT Fairy/Gemini Level 6 2500/900 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: When a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: if there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, you can discard 1 card to Special Summon that monster in face-up Defense Position. Banish that monster when it leaves the field. Sleeping Vampire DARK Zombie/Gemini Level 6 2400/1000 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: If this card leaves the field by an opponent's card effect: if there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Deck or Graveyard. Sleeping Dragon FIRE Dragon/Gemini Level 8 3000/2000 This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect: "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters you control cannot be destroyed or removed from the field by your opponent's card effects, except "Sleeping Dragon." If this card is removed from the field, except when destroyed by battle: banish the top 3 cards of your opponent's Deck. Playing Opossum EARTH Beast/Tuner Level 2 200/1000 This card can be substituted for any Synchro Monster that requires a "Sleeping" Tuner monster. If this card leaves the field for the Synchro Summon of an "Awakened" Synchro Monster, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Deck. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while in the Graveyard. Awakened Prophet LIGHT Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect Level 6 2400/0 1 "Sleeping" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters This card gains 100 ATK for every Effect Monster in your opponent's Graveyard. "Sleeping" Gemini monsters you control cannot be targeted by your opponent's effects that would remove them from the field. Awakened Wolverine EARTH Beast/Synchro/Effect Level 7 2600/2000 1 "Sleeping" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters If there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard, and there are Effect Monsters in your opponent's Graveyard: negate the effects of your opponent's Effect Monsters that would remove cards from the field. Awakened Phoenix FIRE Winged-Beast/Synchro/Effect Level 8 2800/1700 1 "Sleeping" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is successfully Synchro Summoned: Special Summon 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. If there are no Effect Monsters in your Graveyard: this card can attack all of your opponent's monsters once each. This card cannot attack your opponent directly. Awakened Wrath DARK Fiend/Synchro/Effect Level 10 3300/2600 1 "Sleeping" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Summoned in any other ways. Once per turn: you can Tribute any number of "Sleeping" Gemini monsters you control; destroy an amount of cards your opponent controls equal to the number of Tributed monsters. All monsters in your Graveyard are treated as Normal Monsters. Spells: Alarm Clock Spell Continuous "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters you control are treated as Effect Monsters while on the field. When this card leaves the field: all "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters you control are flipped into face-down Defense Position. Caffeine Boost Spell Equip Equip only to a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster. The equipped monster gains 500 ATK and DEF. Treat the equipped monster as an Effect Monster with its effect(s). The equipped monster's effect(s) cannot be negated. When this card is removed from the field, banish the equipped monster. Five More Minutes Spell Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters from your Graveyard in face-down Defense Position. They cannot be flipped face-up until the end of this turn. Morning Sunlight Spell Field Each time a "Sleeping" Gemini Monster is removed from the field: add 1 "Sunlight" Counter to this card. "Sleeping" Gemini Monsters gain 200 ATK for each "Sunlight" Counter on this card. Once per turn: you can remove 3 "Sunlight" Counters from this card to Special Summon 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your hand or Graveyard. If this card would be removed from the field by a card effect, remove 1 "Sunlight" Counter from this card, instead. Rolled Out of Bed Spell Continuous Once per turn, if your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters: you can Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your hand, and treat it as an Effect Monster with its effect(s). Wake Up Call Spell Quick-Play Tribute 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster you control that is treated as an Effect Monster: Special Summon 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your hand or Deck with a Level equal to or less than the Level of the Tributed monster, but with a different name. Then, you can destroy a face-up monster on the field with an ATK less than the ATK of the Special Summoned monster. Wrong Side of the Bed Spell Quick-Play Select 1 "Sleeping" Gemini Monster your control; it gains 900 ATK until the End Phase of this turn. If the selected monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle this turn, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Sleeping" Gemini Monster from your Deck in face-down Defense Position. Traps: Distracting Snores Trap Continuous When a "Sleeping" Gemini monster you control battles an opponent's monster, negate any effects that activate during the Damage Step. Pillow Shield Trap Counter When an opponent's monster declares an attack against a "Sleeping" Normal Monster you control: negate the attack, and treat the selected monster as an Effect Monster with its effects (if any). Pleasant Dreams Trap Continuous "Sleeping" Normal Monsters cannot be removed from the field by card effects. Well, that's all of them, in their lazy glory. You monkeys know what to do from here.
