Nathanael D. Striker
Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 2 DARK monsters from your Graveyard. During either player's turn, if an opponent's effect would target a card(s) you control: You can change this card to Defense Position; switch that target with another appropriate target your opponent controls, and if it doesn't destroy the new target, randomly send 1 card from your opponent's hand to their Graveyard.. You can only use this effect of "The Red Horseman of Slaughter" once per turn. Been meaning to post this for a while, but I've been doing other things. If anything is wrong with this card, just say so and I'll take care of it. Anyway, CnC?
Therrion
That is just cruel, Striker. Well, for starters, it is only a once per turn effect, so that isn't too bad. Having 1700 DEF ensures it dies to Maestroke, but then again, Maestroke targets. Their best option is to clear over this, and with your backrow safe and sound, your opponent will have a hard time doing so. It is a bit too easy to Summon, especially for a Level 6 of this power. Ghost Ship, a Lv. 5 LIGHT, has nothing but this Summoning conditions (cost being LIGHT, ofc). Perhaps make it banish 2 or 3, as this card is really powerful. The hand effect hardly matters, as the only meta card ran that targets and doesn't destroy is Lance, and really, who would Lance with this card face-up in Attack Position? I don't like how powerful and controlling it is, but if you take my suggestion on the cost, I could side with it. I imagine if you have to banish three, it is completely fine, but if you insist on having it at 1-2, perhaps make "Card" not plural, making it not stop Wind-Up Zenmaioh/Icarus/Hylunei (basically a bunch of cards nobody uses, and thus, wouldn't hurt the card too much while keeping its Summoning rather easy). Straight to the point: 2 banish for the cost, cannot negate things with multiple targets. 3 cost or a discard or something that is a little harder to do, fine the way it is. Nathanael D. Striker
I'll take your advice on the 2 DARKs being banished considering that was a thought I had when making this. Getting rid of the plural is something I'm going to have to wait for more opinions on. If you can't tell, I was going for a symbolic card of sorts. It's supposed to symbolize the red horseman in Revelations, though I doubt some people would have figured it out at first glance.
Therrion
The name reminded me of it, but I don't remember enough about the Bible to relate the effect to the Horseman. If there is a relation to the Bible justifying it widespread protection (now that I think about it, why does Slaughter even protect), then keep it as I wouldn't want to hurt the intended flavor. Nathanael D. Striker
The effect is more of its capability of having "allies" turn against each other, if you know what I mean. The discard is there just to make sure something suffers. That's how I intended the flavor to be.
