Performancer Archetype

Hello everyone at this cardmaker forum, I've posted this archetype on a different forum but I got almost no feedback whatsoever, so i'm posting it here hoping to get some feedback on it, so here it is. the archetype is based around continuous spell and trap cards

I don't have any art or art skills to go with these cards yet, oh well

Performancer Mimien
Level 3/Light
Spellcaster/Effect
500/2000
When this card is normal summoned you may change it to defense position and place 1 “Barrier Counter” on it. If an opponents monster declares an attack you can remove 1 Barrier counter from this card to negate that attack. During your standby phase, place 1 barrier counter on this card for each Face-up “Performancer” card in your spell & trap zone (Max 5) during your End Phase, if this card has at least 4 Barrier counters on it, you can add 1 “Performance” Spell or trap from your deck to your hand. You can only Activate this effect of “Performancer Mimien” once per turn

When your opponent Normal summons or sets a monster, you can special summon this card from your hand. when you do you can Return 1 Face-up card your opponent controls to their hand,. When this Face-Down card is destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard you can Return 1 “Perfomancer“ monster from your graveyard to your hand except “Performancer Clown-a-round”

Once per turn you can increase the level of all Spellcaster type monsters on the field by 1. if you use this effect, you cannot xyz summon this turn. if this card is sent from the field to the graveyard without being destroyed , you may add it back to your hand.

During your Standby phase, if this card is in face up attack position you can special summon any number of “Performancer Kabukithier” from your deck in face up attack position, the battle position of those monsters cannot be changed except by a card effect. if another face up “Performancer Kabukithier” is destroyed, destroy this card. During your opponent’s end phase, you can shuffle this card into your deck face up. if you draw this face up card from your deck, you can special summon it in face-up defense position and draw 1 card

I changed it up because it activated itself to special summon itself and that was sort of broken

You can only activate one effect of “Performancer Elephantastic” each battle. you must control a Face-up Continuous Spell or Trap card to activate this effect

During each of your standby phases you can Return 1 continuous spell or trap card on the field to its owner’s hand. if this card is attacked by an opponents monster even while face down, decrease its attack by 300 and increase its defense by 300. if this card is banished target 1 monster your opponent controls, shuffle that target into the deck, and if you do, shuffle this card into the deck.

Once per turn during your main phase detatch 1 xyz material from this card to target 1 monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls, roll 2 dice, the first target gains attack and defense equal to the first result x 300 the second target loses attack and defense equal to the result x 300 you can re-roll either of the dice any number of times equal to or less than the number of face up continuous spells & traps you control. Once per turn this card cannot be destroyed, when this card has xyz material it cannot be destroyed by battle

This Card is counted as a Continuous spell card in the Spell & Trap zones each "Performa" monster Gains 500 Attack and Defense. Continuous Spell Cards cannot be destoyed once per turn except "Performancer's Carnival"

Performancer’s Art of the Mime
Continuous Spell Card
When this card is activated, target 1 monster you control and 2 monsters your opponent contols, as long as this card remains face up on the field, none of those targets can declare an attack

Performancer’s Art of the Clown
Continuous Spell Card
When your opponent special summons a monster you can activate this face down card. When this face down card is activated all monsters your opponent controls lose 500 attack. during the end phase of the turn this card was activated, shuffle 1 random card from your opponents hand and 1 card from your hand into the deck.

Performancer’s Art of Music
Continuous Spell Card
When this face down card is targeted, you can activate it and negate the effect that targeted it. When this card is activated, the turn player must shuffle 1 card from their hand into the deck, if the controller of this card would shuffle a card from their hand into the deck, they can shuffle a card from their graveyard into the deck instead

Performancer's Art of Illusion

When a "Performancer" Spell card is activated you can activate this card. When a card in your deck or graveyard is added to your hand by the effect of a "performancer" card, You can add a "Performancer" card from your deck to your hand. This Effect can only be used once per turn.

Performancer's Art of Ballet

When a "Performancer" monster you control destroys an opponents monster by battle, you can activate this card, once per turn, if a "Performancer" monster you control destroys an opponents monster by battle you can draw 1 card
Performancer’s Art of Geisha
Continuous Spell Card
When a Monster you control is targeted for an attack, you can activate this card and change the attack target to another monster you control, if this card is destroyed, the player who destroyed it must shuffle 1 card from their hand into their deck. During your end phase, you may draw 1 card.

Performancers Art of Painting
Continuous Spell Card
When a card would be negated, you may activate this card and negate the negation (you may activate this card in response to a counter trap card) during the turn players end phase, if that player doesnt control a “Performa” monster that players opponent banishes 1 card from their graveyard

Trap Cards

Lion Hearted Willpower
Continuous Trap card 
When the Battle position of a monster Changes you may activate this card, Monsters cannot change their battle positions, except by a card effect.

Fantastic Elephant’s Show
Continuous Trap Card
When a monster is destroyed by battle, you can activate this card, whenever a monster is destroyed by battle,increase the attack of the monster that destroyed it by 200 points, if that monster is not a “Performa” monster that monster loses 800 attack instead

Phenomenal Dolphin’s Routine
Continuous Trap Card
If an effect activates during the end phase you can activate this card. During Each End phase, the Turn player Gains 500 life points for Each “Performa” monster they control
 

 

 

So if you think anything needs buffing or nerfing i hope you guys can tell me! I tried really hard on this archetype too!

I'm not going to review all of these cards. Next time, only make or post 10 or less cards if you want anyone to review them because good Decks only really use up to 10 or so cards (though repeated) of a specific archetype, any more is generally overkill. Your archetype also has no particular theme, for example Madolches return themselves to the Deck, Lightsworns mill and etc and a lot of the cards don't really benefit the archetype.

I'm going to point out some of the bigger flaws here:
Performancer Musique
Level 3/Light
Spellcaster/Effect
1400/1100
Once per turn you can increase the level of all Spellcaster type monsters on the field by up to 2. if you use this effect, you cannot xyz summon during your Main phase 1. if this card is sent to the graveyard without being destroyed , you may add it back to your hand.

The underlined part is way OP, you could discard this card for a cost and you would get it back, you could even use Foolish Burial and you would get it into your hand. This thing nullifies any sort of cost whatsoever, it's a million times worse than even Sinister Serpent.

Performancer Clown-a-round

That is really overpowered. It's a hand trap that Special Summons itself and bounces one of your opponent's monsters without even targeting and ends up being a +1 effect.

You realize that Special Summoning 4 monsters from your Deck is extremely OP, right? And you realize your opponent can continuously just shuffle this card to the bottom of your Deck too. At any rate, drawing two cards at a +2 is still a bad idea.

I changed the first one to only increasing by 1 and not being able to xyz summon at all during that turn and only being able to return to the hand if it was on the field when it wasn't destroyed (which is the effect i meant in the first place, just worded it reaaally poorly)

The second one was changed to remove the "not able to summon or activate the same card" 

The third one doesnt summon 4 monsters, it only summons copies of itself, which you may have misinterpreted and now you can only draw 1 card from it only when it's face up in the deck.

 

I so much appreciate your help with this. and I'll try to make my next archetypes more balanced in the future
