Ren✧
When a monster you control attacks or is attacked by a monster your opponent controls with more ATK points than it: Increase the ATK of your monster to be 100 more than your opponent's monster, until the end of the Battle Phase. If your opponent declares a direct attack that would decrease your Life Points to 0:Discard 1 card and banish this card in your Graveyard; negate the attack and the turn is changed to the End Phase. Each player can only activate this effect of "Too Close for Comfort" once per Duel. [hr] In a fit of desperation you are capable of unimaginable things. Therrion
The first effect is too weak to be considered ran, thus making the second (though it looks somewhat nice) effect meaningless. It doesn't really need a discard, as it is weaker then a Reinforcements (excluding when something is straight up 500 more ATK, in which case your monster will gain 600). The ATK boost isn't worth 2 cards (see Rising Energy), and making the first effect that weak makes whatever second effect that much weaker. The second effect isn't even all that, it is moreso just an interesting casual card/plot device card that would be used in a fanfic. It could do without the discard on the first effect. That would make the card a little better, to the point where it may get ran in casual decks.
Ren✧
Card slightly rehauled...perhaps a bit better?
Therrion
Well yeah, it is less cluttered and to the point while providing an all around less situational boost. It would happily be included in casual decks, but still not competitive. Though, not every card has to be. Glad that you removed the initial cost as it completely killed the playability. Sora1499
Sooooo, its first effect is a more playable version of Prideful Roar, which I like, and the second effect allows a player a second chance in a fair manner, which I also like. The discard balances out that you get one more chance, and I like how you can't just hide behind a wall of these due to the last effect. Overall, it's a nice, balanced card, although whether or not it'd see play... Idk, it's possible. Also, I'm really looking forward to Number 100. You have to make it super duper incredibly epicsauce, mmk?

Well I guess this is as good as it is going to get. Thanks Therrion! Always appreciate the input! It also stops any of your opponent's last ditch moves to possible pull out a Gagaga Cowboy and deal the last bit of damage through the effect, which I have done, as well as suffered from. Number 100 is definitely gonna take some time to think over. As you said it has to be super duper incredibly epicsauce! :D
Gawayn
Already at 99? Gosh, I haven't been on in awhile. As said, it is more of a casually played card, which doesn't necessarily mean its bad. I could possibly see it being sided if there is space, but would probably only see play in a casual deck. The problem is, is that there isn't really any deck that this card would overly benefit, as well as no deck that it would particularly hurt. A jack of all trades, if you will. Able to fit anywhere, but not really a perfect match. Still, looks like it is a fun card and could definitely be used as a story implement.
