When this card is activated or sent to the Graveyard from the field: Target 1 face-up FIRE or WATER monster you control, then activate the following effect based on that card's Attribute.
●FIRE: If there is a WATER monster in your Graveyard: Add 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE or WATER monster from your Deck to your hand.
●WATER: If there is a FIRE monster in your Graveyard: Add 1 Continuous Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

[spoiler=Design Notes] I wanted even more to create cards that could somehow combine together Fire Fist and Ice Barriers, but this time not in such a direct manner. I created, instead of support for one of the archetype's that combined tastes from both, a card that supports both attributes instead. I wanted to make sure it couldn't be used in a Deck that wasn't using both Attributes, and I wanted it to have options on what it could do, while still supporting both archetypes combine. It can Support Ice Barrier by adding Gem (linked above) from your Deck to your hand and the fact it triggers off of Hyena (also linked above), and Fire Fist in the way that it can search any Fire Formation (Tensu for further NS plays, Youkou for destruction/grave set up, etc.) or basically provide a second playset of Tenki (though this time for either side, Ice Barrier or Fire Fist). I'm not sure if this card in combination with the other two would make Ice Fist a thing, but it would surely be interesting, in my opinion, to see such a thing occur.[/spoiler]

Hey, pretty fun for... erm... wait, let me think... Sorry, couldn't find a deck which runs both FIRE and WATER that much for it to be consistent. And I also don't play Fire Fists at all so I'll just review this based on it being a card. 

 

Plays with Heavy Storm/any card that destroys your own pretty much leads to a satisfying +0 with FIRE, and could prove pretty useful-ish. Plays with WATER supports Fire Fists, but most WATER decks I know don't run that much Continuous Spell cards. Like you said, this card is designed to combine Fire Fists and Ice Barrier, and it may be limited to that specific deck. While the first effect is pretty universal and can be used in some obscure FIRE + WATER deck, but the second one is kinda restricted.

Changes? Well, make it less limited and more universal. That's all, I guess.

In what way would it become more universal?

I made a Continuous Spell for Ice Barrier, so it could help them in that way. Maybe I could make it Continuous Card, adding Call of the Haunted to the list (most Ice Barrier Decks I've seen seem to run it). Other then that, I don't really know what I could do to make it more universal. I would say add a Spell, but that may be a leap to far.

Attempting to amalgamate 2 attributes that don't normally associate with one another seems neat, although the question is whether or not those 2 attributes want to be amalgamated in the first place.

 

With the current cardpool, I doubt it: Mermails and Atlanteans derive most of their power from their interactions with one another, and any impurities would get in the way, and both frogs and slushy are self-reliant.  Fire Fists can act as a powerful consistency engine (see koa'ki fists and fairydragon.dek), but the problem is that there is hardly anything WATER that is worth the integration that wouldn't just be hampered down by said integration. 

 

However, if 2 given engines/archetypes were created that integrated well and were WATER and FIRE respectively, this card would be fairly decent as a searcher card.

 

It's fine as-is.
