I call it, Tidal Toads!

This is the deck I'm taking to Nationals this weekend. Still doing some play testing and such. Overall, I really enjoying playing it. Any thoughts, comments, questions? Do keep in mind this is a real life deck, so there are reasons why obvious cards aren't in here. Such as Number 11: Big-Eye, which I can't afford.

So, let me get all of this straight...

You're running an inferior variant of the deck that takes up far too much room with its secondary engine, as opposed to using Diva + Armsman stuff which also gives you actual outs and access to Synchros, should you wish.

And the fact that you're only running Swap Frog + 2 Dupe makes it even worse, as it's absolutely inconsistent in every way without more frogs to back it up.

You're running Upstarts in place of Gold Sarco, which makes more consistent plays with Tidal and Angler.

You're running Chalice which has absolutely no applications over Breakthrough Skill in the current Format when you don't have access to Colossal Fighter.

You're running Card Destruction, which is winmoar as hell because it's only good if you draw into Angler, and even then it's not going to do anything major. Just makes your matchup against rogue Dark Worlds even worse.

Call of the Haunted does absolutely nothing here as you're not going to gain anything from it.

3 Terraforming is overkill. You only need 2.

The fact that you're running Corn and Emeral before Lavalval Chain and Ptolemy is dumb. I understand that Big Eye and Cossack are expensive as hell, but if you can't be assed to pick up cards like Ptolemy or Chain that benefit the deck in the long run, why are you even going to Nationals? Especially with a rogue deck in a format where you lose if you're not top tier or a sacky twat.

Where on earth is your Dark Mist? You need it for those games where you don't get Lemuria fast enough.

Why in the hell are you only running 1 Salvage? 2+ is needed.

You're running a deck that likes to dish out around 8100 damage in one go. Upstart is terrible here because it just screws over your own OTK and lets them kill you the next turn. Needs to be Sarcos.

Way too many Rank 4s, too.

You're running Upstarts in place of Gold Sarco, which makes more consistent plays with Tidal and Angler. I tested Gold Sarc. The only time it was awesome to banish a Tidal was if I had an Angler in hand. Other than that, it was meh in my opinion.

You're running Chalice which has absolutely no applications over Breakthrough Skill in the current Format when you don't have access to Colossal Fighter. There have been times where I'm 400 or less from winning, and Chalice was right there in my hand. Also, a quickplay spell that helps me get around Jowgen makes me happy.

You're running Card Destruction, which is winmoar as hell because it's only good if you draw into Angler, and even then it's not going to do anything major. Just makes your matchup against rogue Dark Worlds even worse. I threw in Card Destruction because I found people dropping Maxx "C" on me, and since I was playtesting I just kept going. Gave them a massive hand and a little deck. Realized Card Destruction would just be awesome. ^^

Call of the Haunted does absolutely nothing here as you're not going to gain anything from it. Have nothing to gain? Again, another way to help me push for an OTK. On top of that, it allows me to extend my plays if I have a Tidal or a level 2 monster in the grave.

3 Terraforming is overkill. You only need 2. I'm considering dropping down to two. Just really want dem Lemurias.

I'm not to interested in Ptolemy honestly. Though I was considering Chain over Corn. I have yet to decide. But Emeral is in for the same reason Pot of Avarice is in. I fill the grave way to fast.

Where on earth is your Dark Mist? You need it for those games where you don't get Lemuria fast enough. Again, I see no point.

Why in the hell are you only running 1 Salvage? 2+ is needed. I was considering running the second Salvage over the third Terraforming.

You're running a deck that likes to dish out around 8100 damage in one go. Upstart is terrible here because it just screws over your own OTK and lets them kill you the next turn. Needs to be Sarcos. I considered that, but I've found myself still able to do around 10K damage.

Way too many Rank 4s, too. Five doesn't seem to much. Especially when they are as good as they are.

Replies in bold.

Dupe was a mispeak, because running only those 5 is senseless without other frogs.

Gold Sarco is a card you can run multiples of that has the same "awesome" timing as Card Destruction, but at 3, and actually can enable plays if you really need it to. Upstart does not. And more often than not, 10K pressure is not what this deck can achieve, averageing around 8100 damage plays. It's running a card that screws you over unless you Godhand.

"I've won duels where I was 400 away" is terrible logic that should never go into deckbuilding. It works with Gagaga Cowboy because it's a monster you can whipe out of the extra at any time. This is a main deck card, and it has nothing over Breakthrough Skill for this deck. If you're opponent's playing Spellbooks and has an ounce of skill, you're going to lose anyways.

Maxx "C" is a pretty sorry reason when it's only going to be good in that case or it's going to be Winmoar. Dragons have a reason to run card destruction, because they thin the deck and draw a lot. You don't.

Why would you not be interested in Ptolemy. It adds an Angler/Tidal/etc. back from the grave to the hand for stronger plays.

Emeral is winmoar. Restocking the deck doesn't mean jack when it's on an 1800 body that could've inherently furthered plays instead of dicking around and not OTKing.

How is Dark Mist not worth it? It's the deck's only real out to big stuff when you don't get Lemuria plays, and makes pushes over, say, RDA easier.

5 Rank 4s is too much when you're not even running enough Rank 2 and 6, which are the main ranks the deck makes. The only Rank 4 you NEED is Abyss Dweller, though you can also use Lavalval Chain. Also, where the hell is your Tiras?

Call of the Haunted does nothing for this deck because it's a slow Reborn that has no targets that inheerently work for it. Hell, Reborn isn't even amazing here as anything you'll grab tends to be Lv. 2 or Tidal/Stream.

Honestly, this deck has nothing really going for it until we get Armor Kappa or Herald of Sacred Light, considering that it only functions well if you get Lemuria in the TCG.
