Soul Eater

Player's don't have ATK values, and monsters aren't necessarily male. Also, this card's name is pretty much already taken by this. I suppose what you're aiming for would make more sense if it were to be worded like this:

"When this monster is selected as an attack target: Decrease the ATK of the attacking monster by 500, then increase the ATK of this card by 500. If this card destroys a monster by battle: Increase the ATK of this card by half of that monster's ATK."

I'm not necessarily perfect at OCG, but I'm just trying to reword it in a way where it would make more sense. Speaking of which, the "double the Life Points you lose by battle" thing doesn't make sense at all. If this destroys a monster by battle, you won't be taking any battle damage (unless it's an odd card like Amazoness Swords Woman). Also, how would you not gain half the destroyed monster's ATK to make you lose twice as much Life Points via battle damage? I would just drop the effect if I were you. Or if you meant it to work whenever this monster battles, not when it destroys something, you could just change that to something like "Double any Battle Damage you take from battles involving this monster." Still, this is unnecessary and you should get rid of it.

Now, onto the card. By destroying one monster, this monster would, at most, gain 725 ATK for a whopping total of 2225 ATK. It would still be too weak to stand against most of the things that the likes of Thunder King Rai-Oh could not. Sure, you could use the likes of Forbidden Lance to help this get the kill on even bigger monsters to further boost its ATK, but I don't know if you wanted to boost this monster's ATK by the destroyed monster's original ATK or by its ATK at the time of its demise. In case of the former, then this would be able to gain more than 725 ATK if you use cards such as Forbidden Lance. In case of the Latter, then Lance does not help this card's ATK gain effect.

The first effect makes this card essentially have 2500 ATK during your opponent's turn. Of course, your opponent would not attack with a monster that is at 2500 or less ATK unless the opponent is either dumb or that opponent has a plan that involves ramming that monster into yours. But this still stands as an attack deterrent for monsters with a moderate or lower ATK. Still, monsters such as Marshmallon and The Fool, who avoid being destroyed in battle altogether, are better choices for this scenario. However, they don't really have a semi-decent ATK score, but defending cards such as them don't really need it.

Since this is a pure beater who simply won't get a very decent ATK score with one battle, I recommend that you increase its ATK a bit to 1700-1800. That way, it can destroy a few more monsters by battle on its own and it will reach 2525-2675 ATK at maximum. Doing this will allow it to be able to be more likely to stand up against the monsters with a moderate ATK, which include many of the common Xyz monsters. Since pure beaters like this can be played around very easily thanks to the massive arsenal of removal effects that are in this game, this card won't really be much of a problem. Also, using it as a Xyz Material Monster means that you won't be having the monster on the field anymore, obviously, so this would make the player have to choose between having a large-ATK monster or having a monster with a helpful effect. Since it's DARK, destroying about any monster opens up DDV for it, and a monster with an ATK score near this one lets it be an EEV target as well.
