BatMed
3 Level 5 WATER monsters While this face-up card has Xyz Material, your opponent cannot select another “Mermail” monster you control as an attack target. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Destroy 1 monster your opponent control that declare an attack that turn. Sora1499
Well, the first effect is all but meaningless because Mermails have like no way to make this. In fact, pretty much the only deck that can make this card is Lemuria Nimbles/Frogs, and they can make it relatively easily. The effect is strong, really strong. It's basically a OPT Bottomless on a 2600 body. Not the best design in the world, but it requires enough dedication to be relatively balanced, and I doubt even Lemurai Nimbles/Frogs could spam 2 of these in the span of 1-2 turns. So, in short, it doesn't need any changes. It's fine as-is.
Zazubat
Well, as Sora already said, having Mermail on this guy is weird, since I don't think they have any Level 5s. This would be a better fit for a Shark monster, since those can make Level 5s. Anyway, the effect is actually not that bad, even if the OCG is kinda weird, I would have just said "in Attack Position" though it does mean that certain cards can survive if they cannot attack. I don't know how it would work in regards to DP monsters, would they maybe be able to in case they could switch their position into Attack? It's intersting, it might not be worth having a spot in the ED for since it's kinda hard to get out, though as a 3-mat Rank 5 with a powerful effect, it is balanced enough as it stands.
