A section built specifically to help those in need with less pertinence to the actual forum? I wonder if a homework subsection would ever get any posts.... Anyway, the status bar is a concise method to socializing with other methods. What makes it successful is that it is faster and requires less dedication in and of itself than a topic. If you have a section of pure would-be status updates, you will have many topics of little or less quality. The status bar should stay regardless of other changes. It would take away any attempts at structure in the site, plus render all forms of regulation useless. If we're talking about subsections, the entire argument is invalid. There are no shades of gray, either my proposition will or will not decrease the average traffic of this site. What you're doing by using the word "probably" is the equivalent of leaving a true or false question blank because you're too scared to commit yourself to a decision that could be wrong, and so you're wrong anyway. What is your goal in using to word "probably"? You think you can use it as a failsafe so that your credibility can't come into question regardless of the outcome. I see right through you. Do you "probably" live your life? Yes, you certainly do. But here's where that all changes because now you know this about yourself. Now you can take off the mask, be yourself, and trust yourself all the way in your presumptions. It is not bad to presume, for you couldn't do anything at all and would die motionless and alone if you did not presume at all. So why only have the faith, the conviction to suppose that I'm "probably" wrong when my proposition is DEFINITELY wrong? Now you can be definitely wrong too, for now you are free. NoshpalStefan Posted September 17, 2013 Report Share Posted September 17, 2013 Apologies for an 18 day bump, but I felt as if this thread needed to be revived due to the recent implement of Xyz templates (and, in general, the implementation of better, more realistic-looking templates, on this site). In any case, I feel like this is a huge milestone in the advancement of this site. To reiterate upon my previous, lengthy post, the advancement of the Card Maker was one of the largest keys to this site's resurrection. I suppose we shouldn't utterly and stagnantly stop here, but it's quite enough for me (at least for now). I suppose this post is to thank whoever brought this change into place. I realize it was probably a lengthy and difficult process, so YCMaker, SuperMods, Mods - anyone who was involved in it - thank you. That is as sincere and honest as I can bring myself to be.
