More Machina Fortress love. More Rank 7 love. Yadayada. Walking Trunade on crack. Yadayada. Was unsure if the cost of not being able to be Material while Stern Special remains on the field was enough to justify such an insane effect.

Excellent card, Arin!

We love its summoning effect, and its effect when attacked by a non-machine.

Not being able to use its effect repeatedly seems unnecessary and obstructive.

 

We suggest removing those limitations, and including an effect which prevents it from being targeted.

Oh mai goodneth.  I think you just made Rank 7 Gadgets an official deck.  And a good one at that.

 

In my opinion, it does too much.  

 

With the easy-drop summon alone, it's already pretty flippin good, because it capitalizes off of Gearframe -> Fortress plays and make Redox even more live.

 

The mega-bounce effect seems iffy to me.  It's a 2400 monster so that it can be run over without too much trouble (but still hold its own), but it suddenly turns into a wall.  If the effect were to go off, on top of wrecking your opponent's field, it gets to bounce itself back to be summoned again, so you're losing a lot less than your opponent.  IMO, this effect is completely unnecessary for the design of the card.

 

The other effect is pretty good on its own: tribute 2 gadgets (basically), grab a fortress.  This allows for easy rank 7 plays, but the -1 from the field makes up for it I suppose.

 

My suggestions:  Make it have to banish 2 machines to summon it.  Seems a little too easy to drop as-is.

Nix the second effect altogether OR make it bounce only the monster targeting it for an attack and Stern Special, or something like that.

The card's pretty balanced. I just think that the returning all monsters on the field back to their owners is a bit too much if it's attacked from a non machine-type monster. I would probably change that part maybe returning all monsters higher than a certain level or something. but other than that, it's really good. 8/10 I haven't judged a card in eighty years ok haha!

Except it doesn't bounce itself back. It says "all other monsters".

 

But I will take your comments into consideration. I was also iffy on how easy it was to Summon. Maybe change it to "You can Banish Machine-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard whose total Levels equal 7: [Rest of Effect]"?

Easier to get out than BLS in any Machine heavy deck, and has a better effect for the most part. I don't think that sort of power is qualified by banishing i level 4 or higher machine type monster from my hand or graveyard. I could just tin goldfish into a rank 4, detach for effect, then banish it to ss this.
