Dragoarms Archetype

Aaaah, there's nothing quite like making a simple, easy-to-follow archetype.
 
So, the idea behind this archetype is to equip your dragoarms equip spells to your dragoarms monsters for various benefits as well as level modulation for Rank 5 Xyz.  If anyone says Dragunity I will shoot them in the fucking head.
 
I made it to have more of a beatdown playstyle, as the Dragoarms are quite beatsticky by themselves, amplified by the Equip cards.  Hopefully you like.

Love the cards.

The Xyz monsters should technically be Rank 6 considering the Equip Cards increase the level by 1 and then the monster's effect increases its own level by 1.

Other than that, the cards are virtually perfect.

Set rating:

1.     The Realistic balance of the set: 9.0/9.5 
2.     What happens if it were to be released IRL and What possible uses would it have IRL: This set will surely make the top with it’s ability of winding up on the field, but the moment the you shut their Battles they can't win.
3.     What you think is possibly broken/ abusable: Nothing much.

Plus the art you got for them is pretty sweet. I like them, although I think it might be cool if they also had Xyz monsters of Ranks 4 and 6, since you aren't always going to have an equip spell and higher ranks would be interesting to see.

I could make a rank 4, although I doubt you'd be making 6s with this deck very often.

Just to say...DRAGUNITY!

 

Eeeeeeh, that's kinda unlikely. The only realistic way to drop a 6 would be with Taro and an equip in-hand. But you know what, fuck it, ima do it. I'll make a 4 and a 6 for the set by tomorrow. So look out for them!

 So it will be-modification of the equips?

Seems pointless making a rank 6 that is dedicated to a set that can't summon it (usually at least), but still.

 

I like the cards. It is a very searchable archetype which therefore makes it consistent, and being able to retrieve so many equips from the graveyard makes equips more desirable and therefore this archetype as a whole. Although I do think that could make them abusable, especially with Domini's & Streiya's draw ability. I like the xyz's too, their effects make sense and are incorporated well. It is also quite nice to use cards that don't give you a headache to read from the amount of colliding effects (*cough* phantom beasts *cough*). 

 

Other than some of the cards being perhaps abusable, the only thing that annoys me at all is that this is a dragon Archetype, but that's just because I want other types to be supported more, so no big deal.

I would use these cards.

If I get an idea for a good trap that actually helps the set, I'll post it under Additional Support. I'm considering making a couple of level 5 Dragoarms that don't have the level increasing clause and revolve around recycling equips (possibly as their summoning clause). Also, that rank 4 is currently in development.

Eleis was the name of an old archetype I made (more specifically, the Noble Dragons of Eleis), and one of the cards there used that same pic. Atla is a reference to Atlantis. Taro is based off of the Japanese word "Darou", which means barrel, and barrels are pretty sturdy. Domini is based off of the Latin word for "to rule", and that's what you'll be doing if you play that card: taking control of the duel. Streiya references both stars as well as a card my good friend Chance Furlong made on this site that used the same pic as Streiya that had an effect similar to Stardust Dragon. I think it's called Starflare Dragon, but I'm not sure. Jeiger is a reference to the BADASS Jaegers from Pacific Rim. Sumai is a reference to Sumia the pegasus knight from Fire Emblem Awakening, as the most noticeable feature if the card (to me at least) are the big-ass wings.

Added that rank 4 we were all talking about as well as a support trap for the deck that acts as a searchable Call.  The trap might be pushing it though.

 

The level 5s I promised are done written-wise, but I still need to find images for them.  Those will be up tomorrow

I like these cards. They are reminiscent of Dragunities with a spin on them. < I APOLOGIZE FOR REFERRING TO THEM.

 

I really didn't have to look at more than 1 card to know they were made for Xyz though.

 

I think Eleis is a little strong for something w/o a draw back.

 

The Support is pretty solid and perfectly balanced.

 

I noticed everyone keeps pointing out Rank 6's I don't know if they noticed but you can always increase the Level of another Dragoarms to 5(oh my god insta Rank 5)
