im confused on how to understand the effect of this monster...

Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon

Attribute LIGHT

Types Dragon/Xyz/Effect

Rank 8

ATK/DEF 3000/2500

2 Level 8 monsters
Once per Battle Phase, at the start of your Battle Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of all other face-up monsters currently on the field, also their ATK and DEF become their original ATK and DEF, and if you do any of these, during the Battle Phase this turn, each time an opponent's card effect resolves, this card gains 1000 ATK until the end of the Battle Phase, also, it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn.

...what does card effect mean?does it mean that it can negate not only monster card but also magic and trap cards which are face-up on the field?and how does this card effects work?

please...need some help...

This is the wrong section; something like this belongs in TCG - specifically the rulings thread, not Realistic Cards. Topic moved. Also, please edit the topic name to include the name of the card in discussion the next time you create a TCG topic. Thanks.

And to answer your question, its negation effect only works on face-up monsters, not Spells and Traps. However, its double-attacking effect activates if your opponent activates any kind of effect during the Battle Phase; regarding this effect, yes, Spell and Trap cards are also included.

Fixed, as activating a card doesn't trigger Tachyons double attack effect.

Also, ffs man, how many times do we have to explain it to you to use THIS F***ING THREAD?

Yes it does.

If you activate a card, and that card resolves (meaning, the activation was not negated), Tachyon will be able to attack a second time that Battle Phase. While Tachyon says "when a card effect resolves", activating a card is also activating the effect of that card.
