Their main purpose/gimmick is to get rank 3's and 5's out as fast as possible by swarming monsters. The Rank 3's protect yourself and swarm some more while the rank 5's activate powerful effects by detaching from other Xyz Monsters instead of from themselves. I used to like these a lot when i first made them but...i think they could use some work now. I tried to fix the wordings as much as possible. Also, just pretend the Ritual monsters are Xyz monsters. Any suggestions? LEVEL 3 While this card is face-up on the field, this card gains 200 ATK for each "Illumineon" monster you control. When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower "Illumineon" monster from your Deck. Once per turn, target 1 non-Xyz "Illumineon" monster in your Graveyard: This card gains the effect of the targeted monster and its level becomes equal to the targeted monsters level until the End Phase. When you control a "Illumineon" monster, except for "Illumineon Relic", you can Special Summon this card (From your hand). When this card is Normal Summoned, target 1 "Illumineon" monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it. During the turn it is Summoned it can not attack. If the Summoned monster was an Xyz monster, attach this card as an Xyz Material. During the Damage Step when an "Illumineon" monster you control attacks: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; that monster gains 1500 ATK until the End Phase. LEVEL 5 Discard 1 "Illumineon" monster to Special Summon this card (From your hand). While you control 2 or more "Illumineon" monster, except this card: This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When a face-up LIGHT monster you control is sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card (From your hand). Pay 500 Life Points to Special Summon this card (From your hand). Once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 extra LIGHT monster. You can Discard 1 LIGHT Monster; Special Summon this card (From Your Hand). This attacking card gains 500 ATK during the Damage Step. When a LIGHT monster you control is sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card (From your hand). OTHERS If you control a level 5 LIGHT monster, you can Special Summon this card (From your hand) as a level 5 monster. If you control a level 3 LIGHT monster, you can Special Summon this card (From your hand) as a level 3 monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: Activate 1 of the following effects; * Special Summon 1 level 3 LIGHT monster from your Deck and this card becomes level 3. * Special Summon 1 level 5 LIGHT monster from your Deck and this card becomes level 5. RANK 3 2 Level 3 LIGHT monsters Once Per Turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Target 1 Level 5 LIGHT monster in your graveyard; Special Summon it. 2 level 3 LIGHT Monsters You can Detach 1 Xyz Material from his card; Special Summon 1 "Illumineon" monster in your graveyard and It gains 1000 ATK. 2 Level 3 Monsters Once Per Turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Target 1 Set Spell/Trap card your opponent controls; Destroy it. If it was a Spell Card, you can Special Summon 1 Level 5 "Illumineon" monster from your deck. If it was a Trap card, you can Special Summon 1 Level 3 "Illumineon" monster from your Deck. 2 Level 3 LIGHT monsters If a face-up "Illumineon" monster would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. Face-up "Illumineon" monsters gain ATK equal to the number of Xyz Materials attached to this card X300. RANK 5 2 Level 5 LIGHT Monsters Once Per Turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from another face-up Xyz Monster you control; Draw 1 Card. if it was an "Illumineon" monster; Special Summon it and Draw another card. You can only control 1 face-up "Illumineon Ultima - Neosect" 3 Level 5 LIGHT Monsters When you Xyz Summon a LIGHT Monster; Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. When this card destroys a monster as a result of battle, you can detach 1 Xyz material from another face-up "Illumineon" Xyz Monster you control; This card can attack again. 2 Level 5 LIGHT monsters This Card's ATK and DEF are equal to the ATK of the Xyz Materials attached to it. Once Per Turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from another face-up "Illumineon" Xyz Monster; Target 1 Card on the field; Destroy it. SPELLS Equip only to a LIGHT monster. The Equipped Monster gains 1000 ATK. If the equipped monster is used for an Xyz Summon; You can Equip this card to that Xyz Monster. If the equipped monster would be destroyed, you can destroy this card instead. Special Summon 2 "Illumineon" monsters with the same name from your deck. Their effects are negated and they cant attack. During the End Phase, Banish those monsters. You can only activate one "Illumineon Ceremony" Per Turn. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving LIGHT monsters. Face-up LIGHT Monsters you control cannot be destroyed as a result of battle or by Card effects. During each of your End Phases, detach 1 Xyz Material from a face-up Monster you control or destroy this card. Target 1 "Illumineon" Xyz Monster in your graveyard; Special Summon it. Then, attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. Target 1 face-up "Illumineon" Xyz monster you control; Attach 2 "Illumineon" monsters from your hand to it as Xyz Materials. You cannot detach Xyz Materials to activate that monster's effect this turn. Pay 500 life points. Add 2 "Illumineon" monsters from your deck to your hand. Horu Posted September 5, 2013 Report Share Posted September 5, 2013 1. Beetle: Stands at a solid 1600/1200 upon summon. With 4 more Illumineons, you have no true need for Xyz summoning since it goes straight to 3200/1200 and can now beat Blue-Eyes White Dragon's Staggering 3000/2500. What's the purpose of this card being Xyz Material when it can beat Blue-Eyes? 2. Golem: This can replicate Beetle, become a 1800 ATK monster by itself. Then it presents the same issue as Beetle, making it useless as Xyz Material. 3. Relic and Steed: These cards are pretty balanced and serve a purpose as Xyz Material. 4. Tiger: Consider reducing his ATK boosting effect to 800. Reason being this: Current Beetle and Golem. 5. Crusher: Considering the stats, it isn't so bad. And the fact that the current text requires it to have another Illumineon on the field isn't so bad either. But since this once promotes trampling, I'd suggest dropping the DEF boost. A Level 5 3000/2000 monster with piercing damage isn't so bad. 6. The rest of the Level 5 Illumineons: All these are pretty well balanced. Leave them alone. 7. Jellyfish and Princess: Both of these promote the use of Xyz Summoning and they are pretty balanced as well. Their effects can also promote Synchro Summons to an extent. 8. Rank 3 Illumineons: No real complaints/complements here. Since Xyz monsters really aren't balanced to begin with. I guess you could only do better than Konami on this subject. 9: Lightwing and Sparktail Dragon: Both of these cards are pretty balanced except for the fact that they can launch endless attacks under their current effects. 10. Spark Beast: Aside from becoming a 4000+ ATK monster, your opponent is also facing a continuous De-Spell, Trap Master or Man-Eater Bug effect. This can become a major issue and it becomes very Abusive. 11. Arm: This card is pretty balanced for an Equip Spell Card. 12. Ceremony: Very abusive right now. I'd just summon 2 Golems and have both of them target Beetle. 13. Shield: This card is just that. I like the drawback though. Nicely done. 14. Sphere: This is a pretty fair ruled card. Quick-Play becomes Xyz Material. 15. Techup: This card was nicely done but can still cause problems if you have a continuous attacker like Lightwing or Sparktail. Aside from that, this card is pretty balanced. 16. Rings: This card is a pretty fair shot. A sort of game leveler so to speak. Well that's my review of the cards.
