Time Lapse Dragons

First of all: here's the story why I made these cards:
Many many decks do have one big problem and without that problem they would be playable (again): consistency. And the reason for that problem is the lack of searchers in many of these decks. Some of them don't even need to spam Special Summons and abuse XYZs/Synchrons like most of the current meta-decks, they just need a combo with some key cards to be good, but they are destroyed by any other fast deck before they can even get one of the cards they require. So I decided to make a card set (well, two cards to be exact) that supports slow decks with searching while not making fast decks even faster. Pot of Duality is a great example for that.
 
Before getting started I want to say: Yes, I used the artworks of Latias and Latios (not the name, just the artworks of course, so it is matched with the board rules) because I like them and think they are very apposite. :3
 

[spoiler=Time Lapse Dragon - Dusk]

 

 

This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is banished: You can banish up to 2 cards from your hand or Deck, face-up. You can only use this effect of "Time Lapse Dragon - Dusk" once per Duel. You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn during your Main Phase: You can shuffle this card and any number of cards from your hand into the Deck, then draw that same number of cards.

This card cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is banished: You can add 1 of your banished cards to your hand or Deck. You can only use this effect of "Time Lapse Dragon - Dawn" once per Duel. You cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this effect. Once per turn during your Main Phase: You can shuffle any number of cards and this card from your hand into the Deck, then draw that same number of cards.

The combo is self-explanatory. Banish Time Lapse Dragon - Dusk with cards like Allure of Darkness or Gold Sarcophagus, then banish Time Lapse Dragon - Dawn and any card you want from your Deck to get the card immediately with Time Lapse Dragon - Dawn's effect. Like Pot of Duality this combo denies Special Summons for this turn to prevent the abuse (especially with Dragon Ruler, lol). Of course you shouldn't just get three cards easily just by using this combo three times in one turn, so I decided to reduce the times you can use this combo to one. However this doesn't mean that putting more than one of each of these dragons wouldn't pay off. They do have a second effect.

It also supports Decks with weaker consistency by being a recyclable Magical Mallet.

Nicely done but the dragon ruler deck would abuse these to no end because they are self-banishing summonable dragons that the dragon rulers thrive upon. This isn't your fault, just a fact of some archetype bias in the yugioh game.

 

Otherwise, i like it a lot- i just think they shouldn't be dragons to avoid the spammability.

Dragons wont abuse it THAT much.

these cards could be strong in Hieratic, they can get dead draws quite easily and it makes Dragon's Mirror and F.G.D. in a Hieratic deck way more viable, but the only Hieratic that could summon this card is Atum for the hand shuffling effect so it depends. the cards are pretty good but i don't think Latios/Dusk should really be Dark but it's not easy to banish them any way else with non-Dark attribute cards except Red-Eyes Darkness Metal lol

Ik about the sp summoning rule but it only lasts one turn, and after that they give the deck yet another dragon to summon that they can get both of to combine and form hieratic sun overlord.

 

 

Maybe include an effect that says they can't be sp summoned while banished?

Phew, so I'm finally back and made some changes. First they can't be Special Summoned anymore, second I made them Level 7.

The explanations for that are right below.

Well, I didn't change the type, because I really want them to be Dragons. But however I implemented your second suggestion. This problem should be fixed now I think. :D

I don't know much about Hieratic because I never really played/faced them, but cool to know that. ;D

And yeah, one reason why I gave Time Lapse Dragon - Dusk the Dark attribute was that you could use him well with Allure + dusk is right before night (it shouldn't mean that he is an evil Dragon or something like that xD). I also had the idea making them Level 7, so you could trigger them with Seven Sword as well.

I really like these cards, namely because my deck is a slow one. The only problem I have is that it requires you to have a card to banish them, because in all likelihood your opponent wont be banishing them. Though technically, you could just run them for the recycling -0 Magical Mallet, which is what I would run it for. XD
