The idea is to replace monsters in the main deck for those in your Extra Deck instead, by using new substitutes, like your Spell & Trap cards. It would unbalance the mechanic far too much because you could literally run an all spell /trap deck and have no trouble summoning monsters from your extra deck. And not just trap monsters, any continuous cards, or cards that remain on the field for multiple turns could be used with this card. You don't need to normal summon if you can just spam monsters from your extra deck using continuous spells. the card effect itself is balanced, but the summoning ability isn't. You could possibly make it so that a certain type or trap/spell is needed, or one that belongs to a certain archetype (think traptix), but any spell/trap is a little much I think. Or, you could make it that you can't summon anything else at all that turn, rather than just prevent normal summons, therefore preventing 40 card spell/trap decks otk'ing with ease (Prophecy's and Exodia would be even more insane). That would be more balanced too, since you're sacrificing 2 cards which can only result in 1 monster being made per turn. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
