The Return of the Tech Genus

Recommended Posts

Ok, I am pretty new here, but my goal coming here was to create some decks and revive old ones. Here are 2 ideas I had to revive an old favorite of mine (if you couldn't tell already):

I have a few more, but the site only let me post three images. I am welcome to critique and feedback on these ideas of mine. =)

Long live the Tech Genus!

No offense, but I think your missing the point of TGs.
For one, none of these really showcase the futuristic/machine side of TGs, hence, TECH Genus, since all of them are cybernetic to some degree, with the higher Leveled Synchros being pure Machine.
Add to it, your Synchros don't show any relevance to the existing Archetype, so it's hard to draw any parallels between thing. Also Demonic Soul is missing Spirit-Text.

Basically in short, I'm just saying these aren't true TGs, despite having TG in their name, and just makes them look weird.

Hmm. I did overlook the higher level TG machine thing. But the pic on Light Emperor looks like a futuristic angel in my book.

And I am not too familiar with the spirit text. XD

I was trying to show that the Tech Genus are futuristic and advanced with stuff like my spells and traps. Also, most of their (the spells and traps) effects are quite random, but just affect TGs. So I feel I hit the S/Ts spot on.

If my Synchros were level 10+, they would be machine.

But any lower, and I feel like it could be whatever. I was trying to make Light Emperor like Hyper Librarian (Universal, and still TG).

And maybe Mist Assailant looked futuristic to me. XD

Still, thanks for the critique. I might just start a new set of TGs, but I had a question. What would be more befitting for the Tech Genus?

I have seen several examples on this site, but many seem very distant from the archetype. Tech Genus, are in essence, Futuristic Cyborgs who Synchro fairly quickly and add many cards to there hand. And their Spells and Traps add a hint of Summon speed. I felt like my cards were like that, but hey, I could be wrong.

Two people now. I need a better description...what is the true point of the TGs then? Have I played them for years (literally, about 2) just to not understand them? I must venture deep into thought and rethink what TGs are. I thought I had nailed them...although Google Images doesn't always fit my tastes.
