OTK machine much?  Turning otherwise harmless Leos and Aberconways into 3k+ behemoths is passable card design?  No.

 

What heraldics need are more monsters that help them fulfill their wincon: graveyard manipulation and continuous searching and +s, not stupid dumb inconsistent OTK machines.

 

Fixes:

*Lower the boost to 500-700, take out the last clause entirely because it's silly.

Now that's a lot better.

However you can do more, like giving Heraldy an edge like providing more XYZ materials by using Heraldy from grave to XYZ heraldies?

Interesting, but there is also the main weakness; spells, traps and effects that target the graveyard, the dueling field, and special summons. I have just the card for that.

This card. I checked out the card "Heraldry Reborn", and from the looks of it, Vetrix's crest was actually the symbol of the Heraldic Beast archetype.

Heraldic Royal Palace:

 

Increase the ATK and DEF of all "Heraldic" monsters by 300 points. When either player activates a "Heraldry" card that resolves, Special Summon 1 "Heraldic" monster from your Graveyard or hand.

 

Heraldry Family Crest:

 

"Heraldic" monsters on the field cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects. When either player activates a "Heraldry" card that resolves, activate one of these effects:

 

Special Summon 1 "Heraldic Beast" monster from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard

 

Gain 500 Life Points

 

Special Summon 1 "Number 69: Heraldry Crest" or "Number 8: Heraldic Beast King Genom-Heritage" from your Extra Deck or Graveyard, and attach the top 2 cards from your Deck to the Special Summoned monster as Xyz Materials

The Fixed one is basically a pyramid eye tablet and really does not deserve feild spell status.

Heraldics are pretty ridiculous by themselves. Giving them more ATK out of nowhere is just overkill.
 

continuous spell needs a downside

You mean, aside from the fact it contradicts itself, right?
Like, that card itself prevents you from using Heraldry Arts AND Reborn.
But other then that, it's OCG is awful.
