CCG! No Name - Working on Rules

I've been working on a CCG for a while, and it has seen a few revisions

I'm currently working on typing up the Base Rules, then I will reveal more cards.

Before anyone asks, a Battlecry is basically a One Time Move (I'll be changing Cecil's Lifesteal to a Battlecry and Ei'Lora's Summoner to a Battlecry), so basically you Summon the monster and you can use their Battlecry, then if you Summon another of the same monster you can use the Battlecry again, then let's say all monsters return to hand, when you Summon that monster again, you can use the Battlecry again.

 

The Gold on Kol'Dren is because it's a Rare.

This seems very interesting.

 

1) So, would they be in attack and defense position like in YuGiOh?

 

Or could Mystic Oruo destroy Sir Cecil, when they both are facing up in, what we call the "attack position", because Sir Cecil has 0 defense? 

 

2) did you make the cards and artwork yourself?

1) All the cards would be in Attack position per say, however much like MtG if Oruo were to attack Sir Cecil, they would both die because Sir Cecil does 5 back to Oruo. However you don't take Battle Damage per say, (I could do a piercing damage kind of thing).

 

2) I did make all the cards myself in Photoshop, however I did not make the Artwork. I found it in Jazin Kay's and Sword Summoner's photobucket album and also Pixiv and DA.

 

When I finish, I hope to run it online for free, so I will not be profiting off of others artwork, and if I do plan to market it (God forbid) I'll commission people to do art for me.

So......it's basically Hearthstone. Everything from the mechanics to even the keywords of the game seems to mimic EXACTLY what Hearthstone is. How you gather your Resources, the amount of times you can play them....I'm pretty much looking at a completely ripped game here.

True I drew inspiration from what I've seen of hearthstone however I didn't try to rip it. I'll go back to the start and reimagine how the cards can be played.

The only problem is I can do what hearthstone did, or do what MtG and DuelMasters do with Lands or do what YGO or Pokemon do with tributes/evolving. I need to come up with either something new or limit decks and hand size smaller. In which there are no longer Summoning costs, but that's like Yugioh BAM (which I played for about 2 minutes) so if you have any ideas I'm welcoming them.

With no summoning costs, I guess except in some cases I can make it so you can only summon one monster per turn.
