When this card is Normal Summoned: Add to your Hand 1 "Shipmate Pirastar" from your Deck. If this card is Targeted by a card effect, you can Tribute 1 "Shipmate Pirastar" you control: Negate that effect. If this card destroys an Opponent's monster as a result of battle, you can Target 1 "Pirastar" monster in your Graveyard: Add it to your Hand. As long as this card is in Face-up Defense Position, all Face-up "Shipmate Pirastar" you control gain 600 ATK. You can only control 1 "Captain Piraskull".

If you control a Face-up "Captain Piraskull", you can Special Summon this card(from your Hand). As long as this card is in Face-up Defense Position, all Face-up "Captain Piraskull" you control gain 300 ATK. If this card destroys an Opponent's monster as a result of battle, while you control a Face-up "Captain Piraskull", you can return 1 card from your Hand to the bottom of your deck: Draw 2 cards. Then, shuffle your deck.

This card can attack your Opponent directly. If this card is selected as an attack target: Change it's battle position. If this card is destroyed as a result of battle: Special Summon 1 "Captain Piraskull" from your Deck, OR add to your Hand 1 "Pirastar" monster from your Deck, except "Pirastar Ship". If this card is in your Graveyard because it was destroyed by your Opponent's card(either by battle or card effect), you can Banish this card: Special Summon 1 "Shipmate Pirastar" from your Deck. This effect of "Pirastar Ship" can only be activated once per turn, and you cannot Summon other monsters during the turn you activated this effect, except for "Pirastar" and "Piraskull" monsters.

Decent images and balanced effects. I think the ship speeds the deck up a lot as I guess the idea is to get the shipmate + the captain to support each other. However, I feel there is no win condition to the deck and even though there is a lot of ways of getting the shipmate + the captain out at the same time you only get a 2k beater so long as one of the two is in defence. I like the concept but I don't feel it does much, even with obvious pulsing ability there just is no win condition I can think of other than running a lot of defence to back them up while beating down the opponent.

Updated some stuff, modified an effect here and there, etc, etc.
Cuz' why not.

Also, yes, I deliberately made these to be centered around Captain, and having him do all the work.
Not really sure how that's a bad thing, since other archetypes kinda' sorta' do the same thing(HEROs, Bujin, etc).

I actually do like the changes you've made.

The addition of an xyz is by far my favourite because it gives the deck a boss monster, the removal of backrow is very safe since it sends the cards to the graveyard instead of destroying them. Wouldn't consider it broken since the top decks (dragon rulers, mermails etc) don't run many traps outside of sixth sense (which is chain-able anyway). This is probably what was missing in comparison to bujins and HEROs since they both had boss monsters: Susanoo for bujins and a lot of fusion monsters for HEROs.

The cards are fine, I was just concerned it was lacking a win condition.
