death00
Right so who nows about spell speed well i was reading one of the various rule books i have that actually explains it pretty well; speed 1 can only be played first and in response to speed 1, speed 2 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc in response to speed 1 or 2, speed 3 in 3rd etc in response to 1,2,or 3, but after a 3 is played only threes can be played. So, I was like ok what if a made a spell and trap that could incease and decrease, repectivly, the spell speed or cards, and here they are Speed Redux and Speed Demolition Speed Redux http://imgur.com/Rlv3xEH Lore: Increase the Spell speed of a card that has Spell speed 1 or Spell speed 2 by 1 for this turn only. This does not change the effect of the card or change the Spell speed of Spells played after the target card. Speed Demolition http://imgur.com/1UzM96W Lore: Decrease the Spell speed of a card that has Spell speed 2 or Spell speed 3 by 1 for this turn only. This does not change the effect of the card or change the Spell speed of Spells played after the target card.
Trebuchet MS
Interesting idea, but I presume that, in order to modify these Spell Speeds, you have to Chain to that card effect's activation first. How else can one slow down a Counter Trap? The problem is that even though you could modify the Spell Speed in hopes of letting another effect Chain to it, the issue is that you have to wait for that card to resolve first. And Chains in YuGiOh don't let you activate new cards once it begins resolving, unlike the Stack in MtG. Can't deny that the concept of bumping up or slowing down Spell Speeds is novel, just that the game mechanics make it a little difficult to put into effect. death00
true, you would have to to chain. i was more thinking mod spell speed to negate an opponent's card. no, it it not like stack in mtg. could you think of maybe a way i could say what's on the cards to make it easier? Azmot
You could say that after a certain cards activation that would slow down a Spell's speed, the chain restarts or something. Not entirely sure, just an idea.
pedro_mendes
Would this mean that Ignition effects become Quick Effects? Like, you could chain effects that happen during your Main Phase to any effects?
death00
no, it does not change how he spell/trap/monster effect works, it only ramps up/down (depends on which u r talking about) the spell speed under which the target is classified for 1 turn
