TheycallmeBrick
This is an archetype based mostly on summoning a monster, then letting it remove itself during the End Phase, and gain an effect by its removal. Lore: This card cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, reduce the ATK of all monsters on your opponent's side of the field by 1000. Lore: This card cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, change the Battle Position of all Monsters your opponent controls. (Flip Effects are not activated.) These monsters cannot change their Battle Position until your opponent's next End Phase. Lore: This card cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned, add 1 "Echo" card from your deck to your hand. Lore: This card cannot be Set. If there are 4 or more "Echo Beast" monsters in your graveyard, you can Normal Summon this card without tributing. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. If there is another face-up "Echo Beast" monster on your field, except "Echo Beast Coyote", this card can attack your opponent directly, but loses 500 ATK. Lore: This card cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. When this card leaves the field, Special Summon 1 "Echo Beast" monster from your Deck or Hand to the field. The monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be removed from the field by its own effect until the End Phase of your next turn after it was Summoned. Lore: This card cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. Lore: "Echo Beast Gecko" + "Echo Beast Condor" During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. This card gains 100 ATK for every "Echo Beast" in your graveyard. When this card attacks a defense position monster, inflict piercing damage to your opponent. When this card leaves the field, Special Summon 1 of the Synchro Material Monsters used to Summon this monster. That monster cannot be removed from the field by its own effect until the End Phase of the next turn after it was summoned. Lore: "Echo Beast Gecko" + 2 "Echo Beast" Monsters During the End Phase your next turn after this card was Summoned, send this card to the graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Echo Beast" cards in your graveyard, except this card, x 300. Lore: "Echo Beast" monsters cannot be removed from the field by their own effects. During each of your End Phases, if there is a face-up "Echo Beast" monster on the field, place 1 Echo Counter on this card (max. 4). Face-up "Echo Beast" monsters gain 500 ATK for each Echo Counter on this card. If there is no face-up "Echo Beast" on your field during your Standby Phase, remove 1 Echo Counter from this card. As well as these main cards, there are 5 support cards, which I don't have card images for. Sweet Cacophony - Normal Spell Card: Send either 2 Level 4 or lower or 1 Level 5 or higher "Echo Beast" monster(s) you control to the graveyard. Destroy 2 cards on the field. Discordant Cacophony - Normal Spell Card: Send 3 "Echo Beast" monsters you control to the graveyard. Destroy either all Spell/Trap cards or all Monster cards your opponent controls. Final Cacophony - Normal Trap Card: Send 1 "Echo Beast Golem" and 2 other "Echo Beast" monsters you control to the graveyard. Destroy all cards your opponent controls, and inflict damage to your opponent for each card destroyed x 500. Natural Sound Machine - Continuous Trap Card: During your End Phase, you can pay 500 Life Points, and if you do, "Echo Beast" monsters you control cannot be removed from the field by their own effects until the End Phase of your next turn. Sound Loop - Continuos Trap Card: Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Echo Beast" monster from your graveyard. Finally, some notes: Non-Synchro "Echo Beast" monsters can be summoned in Face-Up Defense position, I just didn't know how to word it at the time of making these cards. Also something that I overlooked: "Echo Beast" Monsters can't be destroyed. If they would be destroyed, they would simply be "removed from the field". I didn't remember to add that part in. Sound can't be destroyed, is the general idea. Well, that's all I got. Sorry if this whole thread is formatted oddly, I'm not exactly familiar with forums. Feedback much appreciated. StealthyTyranitar
There's one problem, is you say the theme is being removed from play and then activating the effect, but your trump cards rely on cards being in the graveyard and there are no cards that remove other cards from play. Well, it doesn't say 'removed from play'. It say 'removed from the field'. As in, not destroyed, per se, but no longer on the field. Like it was moved from the field to the graveyard, is the best way I could put it.
StealthyTyranitar
Ahhhhhh, okay. And though I understand it has to do with flavor don't say they are only removed from the field. And I would use the phrase "Sends itself to the Graveyard" as that is the correct phrasing,

'destroyed', for want of a better word, in battle. So that was the best phrasing I could make.
StealthyTyranitar
Then it's "when this card is sent to the graveyard by battle"
Trebuchet MS
Interesting. Using sound patterns for images? It's as if the monsters are invisible but mere sounds.
This card Cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. When this card is removed from leaves the field: reduce the ATK of All face-up monsters on your opponent controls side of the field by lose 1000 ATK.

This card Cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. When this card is removed from leaves the field: Change the battle position of all monsters your opponent controls. (Flip Effects are not activated.) If there is you control another face-up "Echo Beast" monster on your field, except "Echo Beast Coyote", this card can attack your opponent directly, but loses 500 ATK during damage calculation.
I'm going to assume that the 500 ATK reduction is temporary, so I made it last for the attack duration.
This card Cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 1 "Echo Beast" monster from your Deck or hand to the field. The That monster Special Summoned by this effect cannot be removed from leave the field by its own effect until the End Phase of your next turn after it was Summoned.
Like Spirit Monsters, the Echo Beasts only disappear for the turn they are Summoned. After that turn passes, it stops checking for that, making the "until your next turn" part redundant.
This card Cannot be Set. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard.
Considering that the Echo Beasts have no innate staying power, it would be nice if you add an effect that Special Summons an Echo Beast.
"Echo Beast Gecko" + "Echo Beast Condor" During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. This card gains 100 ATK for every each "Echo Beast" in your Graveyard. When If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. That monster cannot be removed from leave the field by its own effect until the End Phase of the next turn after it was summoned.

"Echo Beast Gecko" + 2 "Echo Beast" Monsters During the End Phase your next turn after this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. When this card is removed from leaves the field: Inflict 300 damage to your opponent equal to the number of for each "Echo Beast" cards in your Graveyard, except this card, x 300.

"Echo Beast" monsters cannot be removed from leave the field by their own effects. During each of your End Phases, if there is a face-up "Echo Beast" monster on the field: Place 1 Echo Counter on this card (max. 4). During your Standby Phase, if there is no you do not control a face-up "Echo Beast" monster: on your field during your Standby Phase, Remove 1 Echo Counter from this card.
A little reminder that "removed from the field" has become "leave the field" to prevent confusion between it and "remove from play". And for the same reason, they also changed "remove from play" to "banish".
TheycallmeBrick
Interesting. Using sound patterns for images? It's as if the monsters are invisible but mere sounds. Yes, I decided not to stick to something I couldn't do (like drawing a sound) and something that would be interesting at the least. Like Spirit Monsters, the Echo Beasts only disappear for the turn they are Summoned. After that turn passes, it stops checking for that, making the "until your next turn" part redundant. Thank you, I knew there was something about that effect I was looking at wrong. Considering that the Echo Beasts have no innate staying power, it would be nice if you add an effect that Special Summons an Echo Beast. Well, I intended Gecko to be the weakest one, to only be summoned whenever you already have the other non-Tuner monster(s) on the field. A little reminder that "removed from the field" has become "leave the field" to prevent confusion between it and "remove from play". And for the same reason, they also changed "remove from play" to "banish". Yes, looking back on it, that seems much clearer. As for every other semantic change: thank you for those. I try to get the rulings right as much as I can, but I can only think it through so much.

Sound can't be destroyed, is the general idea. Hmm. Let me try to turn these into proper effects. "If you would Set this card, it is Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position instead." Use this to replace the "Cannot be Set" condition. "If this card would be destroyed, send it to the Graveyard instead." Though this means that if they can't leave the field by their own effects, it's likely that they'll be just as destructible as any other monster. It would also mean that you need to re-implement the "until your next turn" for cards that give the Echo Beasts temporary staying power.
TheycallmeBrick
"If you would Set this card, it is Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position instead." Use this to replace the "Cannot be Set" condition. I do not know exactly how I missed that. That really is the simplest way to put it, yet it missed me by a good mile. I think I figured that out. Echo Beast Jackrabbit: Editied: If you would Set this card, it is Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position instead. If this card would be destroyed, it is sent to the Graveyard instead. During the End Phase of the turn that this card was Summoned: Send this card to the Graveyard. When this card leaves the field: Special Summon 1 "Echo Beast" monster from your Deck or hand . That monster cannot leave the field by its own effect this turn. Thus protecting the summoned monster from making itself leave during the End Phase it was summoned in (assuming I had summoned Jackrabbit that turn), and allowing the summoned monster to use its effect during the next turn.
