Rebirth09
It's a me Rebirth09! :D Haha I finally made my card and I was thinking on making cards with the name "Eternal Dragon". This is my first time making a card and I really hope that this is a good card. Anyway here it is, my dragon and it's effect ;) (You should post the effect even if it is visible, right?) I hope this is the right section o.o" [EDIT] Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 1 face-up LIGHT monster on your side of the field to the graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. When this card is destroyed by battle draw 1 card. Scary Face
draw 2 cards eff is a bit OP, also here's OCG fix Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending a LIGHT monster on either side of the field to the graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 Level 4 or lower Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. When this card is destroyed by battle; draw 2 (i suggest 1) cards. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Sooo, if you have a LIGHT monster on the field and this into your hand, you can SS it by dumping that LIGHT monster into the Grave. Then, with its search effect, you can add any Level 4 or lower Dragon from your Deck to your hand. This, being both LIGHT and Level 3, can add another copy from your Deck to your hand, then the second copy can Summon itself by taking out the first copy. This eventually winds up with you having the third copy on the field and two more in the Graveyard, which could be Dragon Ruler fodder, Black Dragon Collapserpent Fodder (which can be searched with the last Fibris), a Level 3 for Debris Dragon (which is also searchable, and can make Black Rose Dragon with this upon its Normal Summon), or Dragunity Phalanx to be discarded for the effect of Dragon Ravine. Plus, since its effect works upon any form of Special Summoning, you can grab from a pool of monsters constantly with things like Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, which means more Debris Dragons to Normal Summon Black Rose Dragon with, or Collapserpents for free Level 4 monsters, and so on. I think that while this card can definitely boost Chaos Dragons (if anyone still plays that lol) and Debris into quick synchro, it won't be seeing much play in Dragon Rulers and Dragunity's. Dragon Rulers don't run any Light monsters for a start, and they already have enough ways of dumping cards into the Grave / draw + search power. As far as I know, Dragunity also doesn't run Light monsters, unless they are playing some sort of Dragunity / Chaos+Atum Hybrid, in which case this can help somewhat, but that deck pretty much goes off with just a Lightpulsar. I feel like most people who would run this card would just burn through 3 copies of it to deck thin / search for that last dragon, so in the case that they don't, I think that the draw effect might be too good, because you can SS this guy in DEF, get a free search, then get another draw if he dies. Adding the mandatory Summoning from the hand was definitely good, because you can keep this card in check, like the guy mentioned above, you can just abuse this guy with REDMD. Rebirth09
Yeah, I haven't got that far to think about synchro summons, but now when you mention it, it is pretty strong for being a lvl 3 dragon-type monster, and because of the SS, I can keep summoning this card as much as I want, taking it from the deck to the hand and keep SS it, ouch. I will be sure not to make the next card as OP like this one. But for synchro summons, you need "tuner" monsters right? o.o Thanks for your honest thoughts though! It is very helpful and I will learn from my mistakes. Ummm... is it too OP or normally good? I am still a newb to this ehehe ^^"(I used the right word?) Blue-Eyes and Blue Stone work pretty neatly together. You can ditch a Blue Stone the use one of the Dragon Ruler effects that require discarding itself and another card (Blaster's pop, Tempest's search, etc) and get a Blue-Eyes, which can also be used as discard/banish fodder. It isn't nearly as effective as Dragunity Rulers, but it still does exist. Yeah, I haven't got that far to think about synchro summons, but now when you mention it, it is pretty strong for being a lvl 3 dragon-type monster, and because of the SS, I can keep summoning this card as much as I want, taking it from the deck to the hand and keep SS it, ouch. You do need a Tuner, and Debris Dragon is the Tuner for making Black Rose in the combo I mentioned earlier. And while I don't think it's that crazy, I don't really like how it can be used to toss all of its copies out of the Deck immediately. Plus, the problem with having such a large amount of monsters to search from is that well... you have a lot of options. It's why Reinforcement of the Army is on the banlist; by using it, you can get an answer to a lot of problems you're facing. Though, when Tempest can search them both (and Tempest's other effect gives you a free Debris while Wyvernbuster or whatever gets you another Collapserpent when it goes away), it's nothing too new.
