If your opponent controls a face-up Xyz Monster, and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn: You can target 1 Xyz Monster you control with 2 or more Xyz Materials; detach all its Xyz Materials, and if you, Special Summon 1 "Golden Archetype" from your hand or Deck. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material monster. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of a non-Effect Xyz Monster.

Appearently I'm still supporting non-Effect Xyz Monsters.

I think the OCG would be more like this:

If your opponent controls a face-up Xyz Monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in face-up Defense Position. Once per turn: You can target 1 Xyz Monster you control with 2 or more Xyz Materials; detach all its Xyz Materials from the Target, and if you, Special Summon 1 "Golden Archetype" from your hand or Deck in the same battle position as this card. This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material Monster. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of a non-Effect Xyz Monster.

Question: why restrict the Special Summon of this card to only face-up defense? Seems a bit pointless.

Overall though, it's nice to see some support for vanilla Xyz monsters.

You know, I have no idea.

Buffed the ATK by 100, and removed the 'Summon in the Same Position as this card' clause. Because now that I think about it, forcing it to Summon the other one in Defense Position(Assuming you played this via it's effect) is rather silly, and makes this card's usage rather limited for what I'm trying to get at.

Given the restriction it has on only being able to get out non-Effect Xyz, isn't detaching 2 materials too much?

Overall though, it's a nice card, and it can help deal with some annoying Xyz monsters and it's nice to see some support for vanilla Xyz monsters.

May I ask how?

I DID say it supports non-Effect Xyz monsters, not just by Summoning them.
It's on the off chance you control something like Peral with it's 2 Materials, then play This, you basically use Peral's Materials to make another one.
Since really, Xyz Materials on a non-Effect Xyz monster don't even really do anything. So it's not like loosing them will hurt anything.
Of course, the situation becomes different, if you control an Xyz that actually needs it's Materials. But you get what I'm saying.

haha I'm so dumb I didn't even think of that when you mentioned non-Effect Xyz. I guess it really gives a big boost then; sorry about that. Maybe Pearl will finally become more useful than just taking out Stardust.

Why do I just want to run this in a Photon Deck, and send the non-Xyz to the grave for Galaxy Eyes?

The SS is very restricted. You need to have none, and the opponent has to have an Xyz. Cyber Dragon still seems better.

But for the effect, if you could Xyz in the same turn, which isn't hard, you could potentially swarm.

Better than the last one, I'll say that. Yeah, its nice Pearl Support. But who plays Pearl?

How so?

Also you don't send the Xyz monster, you send the Materials.
Add to it, the self-Summon is really all THAT restrictive.

Ok, I know you send the materials.

But you have to have none to SS, meaning you make an Xyz in the same turn without using Golden as a material.

And I did say it was restrictive, but also anything is better than paying LP to me as far as costs go.

It doesn't ONLY gain the effect if it's Summoned in it's own way, since its also a 1900 beater if you just Normal Summon it. It only appears in Defense on the off-chance your trying to form some sort of OTK, with a slightly situational effect to place it on the field in the first place.
