The point of this Deck is just to bring out Gate Guardian cuz Gate Guardian is cool (not really, he looks kinda weird imo but that's not the point I'm trying to make). And after 19028309184098304298027501823409 Duels, you can say with your chest puffed out: "I beat someone with Gate Guardian, lel."It's just like all those other Decks who bring out [X old card/Dragon Master Knight/Blue Eyes Shining] cuz it's something different and is, in a way, amusing.The question presented to you guys is: Is there a better/easier way to bring out Gate Guardian? How can I maximize consistency? and etc.You guys are effectively telling him to build Gate Guardian.dek without Gate Guardian. That's not Gate Guardian.dek. If that's what he wants, I'm not sure what you're judging for. I could just as much say "Yugioh is stupid, it's a waste of time, it's a bad game and you really achieve nothing with it." And then you could bring me the argument "It's fun" or "It's entertainment" or something like that (though, I did hear you say you didn't play Yugioh any more, but w/e). Well, then, bringing out Gate Guardian is OP's "fun" and "entertainment". Not to mention the only important thing has already been mentioned; Using a Frog engine. If so, then thread is over and there is no further need for this conversation, but I'm sure you could point out various other things like what to tech, what isn't good and etc. For example, there's that one monster that searches "Guardian" monsters and Gate Guardian does count. The only decks for which doing this is reasonable are constructs of 40-60 completely random cards with no deck goal nor coherence. This deck has a semblance (a poor one, might I add) of coherence and a clear, albeit unlikely, deck goal. What you two are doing is as good as spam. It is completely pointless and unproductive, and helps no one but your already insatiate egos. Now then, can we please stop this trivial, trite debate and actually give this poor man some advice? I am merely defending my point, and to be frank I don't need you telling me what I'm doing or not doing. I tested the Deck against him, he rolled a 6 with Sixth Sense, Sarc'd BLS turn 1, and he still lost because he had the attribute Gods- one of each too- in his hand, rather than something useful. You can't avoid the dead draws this deck presents. It is bound to lose as your hand gets clogged and you waste turns drawing things you can't Summon. The simple problem is that dropping Gate Guardian is simply counterproductive. The separate monsters are better, and I mean marginally better. Call it silly all you want, the truth is that if your Deck Goal is dropping Gate Guardian, only lady luck can help you win. That said all you can really do is max out the 7 Stars. Considering from my own personal experience a deck involving Basic Insect which was significantly better than this was perceived as spam there is thus only one real way to view this. Glad we had this talk. It was a neat concept at first to have Chaos give this guy back up. Is it wrong that I think Defender might make some kind of stall difference? But this deck is so old that only Unlimited or Traditional could help it. And if you run this in either, you are kind of wasting your time, but it would be funny.
