heraldry_lord
Mind Over Matter Counter Trap Card Tribute 1 Psychic-Type monster. Negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card, or the Normal or Special Summon of a monster, and destroy that card. So here we basically have a Solemn Judgment for Psychics, but I'm not gonna talk about how Psychics use it; I'm gonna talk about Heraldics using it. I've seen Heraldic builds that run this card, and use it with Number 18 to not only negate one of your opponent's cards, but it also triggers Number 18's double Foolish Burial effect, which sets you up for more shenanigans. I've tested it myself, and in the times I get it, the results were satisfactory. So is this card as viable in Heraldics as I think it is, or have people here had a different experience with it? Miror B
Considering they have a reusable +1 Reborn I guess the ends justifies the means in this case.
玄魔の王
How often do you think people forget this works only on inherent summons?

OT: I don't think I'd wanna use it in Psychics, but in Heraldics it may have some viability: a costless Judgment and a 2-mill seems decent. But I'm not particularly good at this game so don't take my word for it.
Blake
I have not tested it, but it seems mediocre. The only reason you have to ditch an 18 during your opponent's turn unless it's being used as an attack absorber or it's being TTd. It leaves you open for if they have anything else, and uses up a Unicorn, when you'd probably much rather keep the 22/22 until you can ditch it later, if you can, or just beat with it. It seems like a horrible dead draw, and everytime I see it I just shudder, because I cannot bring myself to think of it as a positive deckbuilding choice. Wildflame
Yes, it's decent in Heraldics. Probably better in the deck than that "tribute to summon Number 8 that dies in the EP" Spell Card.

Blake
Yes, it's decent in Heraldics. Probably better in the deck than that "tribute to summon Number 8 that dies in the EP" Spell Card. Pros of Xyz Shift: Proactive Will always result in a double foolish so long as it resolves and is not met with Bottomless (Provided you, for some reason, went 8 -> 18) Gets you a 2400 beater and makes outplaying opposing Xyz easier Alternately, gets you a 2200 beater that becomes double foolish in the EP, if needed Does not conflict with Heraldry Augmentation Makes OTK turns much easier Cons: Will result in a -2, in and of itself, if it resolves. (Itself, the Xyz used) Means you'll probably run 2 Number 8 instead of 1 Vulnerable to monster removal and warning Pros of Mind Over Matter: Does not conflict with Heraldry Augmentation Can stop an opponent's play Super Foolish Burial bonus if used on 18, which it will be 9/10 Cons: Will result in a -1, in and of itself. (Itself, the Xyz used, the card negatedOR the card that negates this one) Reactive Leaves you open unless you exploded the turn before Vulnerable to monster effects Not really seeing how a teched Xyz Shift is worse. I'm not saying Xyz Shift's amazing by any means, but it certainly aids the OTK and isn't an opponent dependent double foolish.
