KoolGoldfinch
Hello and welcome to my Mario Card Gallery! I have been a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh! since episode 1, and therefore, I am a HUGE classic fan. I have never seen or read anything beyond Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, so forgive me if my OCG is off a bit. I tried to keep the cards written and made in the classic style. I also tried to have more Normals in the cards. I love Normal Monsters and I think it stinks that all good Monsters have effects; Normals aren't even relevant anymore. I also did my best to keep them true to the Mario series as well. I've seen so many terrible pop-culture cards with horrible effects and horrible artwork, so I wanted to put my own spin on these Mario cards that I hope meet a good level of quality. Any effect the monsters have (I hope) stayed true to their "powers" in the games. I am 100% open to suggestions and criticism, and I am anxious to hear what you think of them! With that, please enjoy. :) Monsters
One of Bowser's underlings. They tend to walk off ledges and fall into pits. Once per turn during either of your Main Phases, you can return this face-up card to your hand. These koopas can use their wings to get extra height and confuse their enemies. They still fall into pits, however. This card can attack your opponent directly. It is returned to your hand at the end of the Battle Phase if this effect is activated. The lowest-ranking underling of Bowser. They are known for how easily they can be beaten. This card cannot attack your opponent Directly. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 "Spiny" from your hand or Deck in face-up position. This card can attack your opponent directly. These bullets are said to be extremely hard to dodge when there are many together at once. If you Tributed 2 "Bullet Bill"s in order to Tribute Summon this card: Once per turn, you can cut this card's ATK to 500 until your next Standby Phase in order for it to be able to attack the opponent directly this turn. This vicious plant hides in pipes and eats any victim who jumps on top of it. As long as this card remains face-up, no Spell or Trap Cards can be activated during the Battle Phase.
Spells
Select and choose one of the following effects: - Send one face-up "Koopa" Monster you control to the Graveyard. Ritual Summon one "Dry Bones" in face-up position from your Hand, Deck, or Graveyard. - Send one face-up "Bowser" you control to Removed Zone along with other Monsters from the field or your hand whose total stars equal 8 or more. Ritual Summon one "Dry Bowser" from your Hand, Deck, or Graveyard. You gain 400 Life Points. When there are are total of 3 "33 Coins" face-up on your field, add 1 "Final Coin" from your Deck to your hand. A Monster equipped with this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Any damage you might take from a Monster equipped with this card is reduced to 0.
Traps
Deal 500 points of damage to the opponent's Life Points. Special Summon one "Spiny" from your hand or Deck in face-up Defense Position. Activate this card when your opponent activates "Lakitu's Spiny". Flip a coin and call Head or Tails. If you call it right, negate the effect of "Lakitu's Spiny" and send to the Graveyard. You gain 500 Life Points for each "Spiny" that is face-up on both fields. If you call it wrong, you lose 500 Life Points for each face-up "Spiny" on both fields. Special Summon this card in Defense Position as an Effect Monster (Pyro-Type/FIRE/Level 4/ATK 0/DEF 1500). When your opponent declares an attack on this face-up Defense Position Monster, flip a coin and have the opponent call Heads or Tails. If they call it right, the attack continues. If they call it wrong, the attack is negated and the attacking Monster is destroyed. Activate this card when there are 3 "33 Coins" face-up on your field. Send this card and the 3 "33 Coins" to your Graveyard. You gain 8000 Life Points.
Rituals
This card cannot be Ritual Summoned except by the effect of "Kamek Revival Ritual". This card cannot be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard except by a WATER-attribute Monster.
This series is still on-going. More and more cards will be added over time. gmaster1991
I enjoy the Mario series myself! Anyway, as for your cards, I would suggest that you modify them so that they act more like they do in the games. For example, the Bullet Bills should probably be Union monsters that can be equipped to a Bullet Bill Cannon to destroy cards on your opponent's side of the field. The Piranha Plants can hide in pipes, so they should be able to prevent themselves from being targeted by attacks or card effects. The Super Star had always only worked for a limited time, so it should probably send itself to the graveyard after a few turns or so as well as offer protection against card effects.
