kyop
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) if you control a Level 5 or higher "Photon" or "Galaxy" monster. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 "Galaxy" or "Photon" monster in your Graveyard; banish it, then this card gains the same effec as the banished monster until the End Phase. I've been playing with Photon/Galaxy recently. I'm not sure if it would be useful, but I wanted to create a card about it anyway. Fixes, please! evilfusion
Um...I don't get the point of it. I get the idea of Special Summoning it if you have a Level 5+ Photon or Galaxy, but it only gets the other effect when it's Normal Summoned, it banishes a Photon or Galaxy from the Graveyard (They REALLY don't want you to do this) and then gets that monster's effect. Um...for what purpose, exactly? Galaxy Wizard and Galaxy-Eyes are really the only Photon/Galaxy monsters whose effects do anything, and copying Galaxy-Eyes' effect temporarily and for such a weak monster like this is...really limited. There's no advantage whatsoever to copying Photon Thrasher, Photon Crusher, Photon Sabre Tiger, Galaxy Knight, etc. The best card to copy is Wizard, but this would have more usability if it activated when SSed, rather than Normal Summoned. Same thing if you copied Photon Satellite; it'd have more use if you got the effect when you Special Summoned it.

My first idea on the monster was to make it a Level 8 with 2500/2000 ATK that had its effect when Special Summoned, maybe it would make it a little better. evilfusion
That might make it a little too good, if it still had the "SS if you control a Level 5+", because then it'd become an OTK enabler. Honestly, copying effects is pointless for Photon/Galaxy monsters. They don't WANT each others' effects. Galaxy Wizard is already a Level 4 that can become a Level 8, while also being the archetype's searcher. Thrasher's whole point is to be SSed from the hand. Photon Satellite is more of a tech or a dedicated build component. Galaxy-Eyes is its own thing, and copying its effect is counterproductive. What they really need is something to help recover card advantage. The entire archetype reeks of costing too many resources and not generating anything in return. Maybe a Level 4 1000/1000 monster that can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Photon/Galaxy from the Graveyard negating its effects would be better? So basically, something like the anime cards "Photon Trade" and "Photon Sublimation"?
