Lunar Origins
Target 1 face-up Attack Position Effect Monster you control and 1 face-up Attack Position Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate bothmonsters' effects. While both of those monsters remain in face-up Attack Position, they cannot attack, they cannot be destroyed by battle, they cannot change their battle positions, also they are unaffected by other card effects. I just love it when Konami actually gives out cards that make sense of storylines. Flavor is probably one of my main attractions to this game. The Six Samurai have had a pretty cool storyline, in my opinion. From what I take, Shadow of the Six Samurai, an older version of Kagemusha of the Six Samurai and the son of Mizuho and Shinai, is challenging Shien's honor. Shien accepts the challenge (and a monologue by Shadow probably ensues). In the foreground, we see Mizuho, ready to stab Shien in the back after finding out that he was the one to kill her husband, Kizan. Shien's Scheme is likely the time that Shien was planning on killing Shinai, as he was a threat to Shien's plans to become Shogun. Shadow of the Six Samurai and Mizuho are in cahoots to kill Shien and restore the honor of Shinai. Regarding Shinai's ghost, I think that's manipulation by Shien himself. Shien doesn't appear to age alongside his fellow samurai, and the power granted to him is almost inhuman. His original DARK attribute could mean something in relation to this, but I'm not sure. I'm tired, so forgive me if I'm sloppy writing this, I just decided to do something fun. OH! And the reason Shadow could be Shinai's son is due to him possessing the latter's amulet, which is not present on Spirit of the Six Samurai. Althemia
Actually, the lore for this is taken from the Sengoku period.Shien is the representation of Nobunaga Oda, famously known as the Demon King. Kagemusha is the famous Akechi Mitsuhide, later going on to become Shadow of the Six Samurai (as he was an understudy of Nobunaga himself and wanted nothing more than to take his position in the Oda army when they were attempting to militarize the land.) Of course, Akechi's plans were being foiled by 1 thing and 1 thing only: Nobunaga still lived. In this, we see Akechi betraying his own clan to rise to power. This incident is known as the "Honno-Ji Incident", which ultimately ended up having Nobunaga lose his life. If I recall, Akechi was forced into hiding after this.Hand is Mizuho, who is known as Oichi in the time period. Oichi's husband, Shinai or Azai Nagamasa to history buffs, was set-up to be killed in battle by Akechi and Nobunaga as he was not technically a part of the Oda army and was still with the Asai, also plans were being set up between the Asai's allies to betray the Oda and take them in an all-out attack. This caused great sorrow to Oichi, as she had lost the one that she had loved. She grew to hate her brother for his actions and transpired to attempt assassination, which she failed. Spirit of the Six is Nagamasa's spirit, who lived on through Oichi.I think that's about it for the history lesson. Some of the facts may be wrong, though, because I haven't brushed up on my feudalism stuff in ages. Haha. That card itself is alright though. The only problem is that there is currently no deck that can utilize this properly.
