You can Ritual Summon this card with "Oxyr Spellbreak". If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card or effect is activated, this card gains 1000 ATK and it cannot be destroyed by card effects, until the End Phase.

The Ritual Spell:

This card is used to Ritual Summon "Oxyr the Spellbound" from your hand or Deck. You must also Tribute FIRE and/or EARTH monsters whose total Levels equal 8 or more from the field or your hand. During either player's Standby Phase, you can banish this card from your Graveyard: Other Spell Cards or effects cannot be activated this turn.

I had these saved on my YCM so I decided to update them and post them here.

In short, this is a Ritual Monster that discourages the opponent from using Spells, or you can use Quick-Plays to protect it during the opponent's turn. The Ritual Spell's 2nd effect works as a mini "Cold Wave" for further disrupting the opponent's Spells.

Also, notice that the Ritual Spell can Summon Oxyr straight from the Deck, which makes of the Ritual Summon much less of a hassle.

Coincidentally, it kind of follows the stun theme of Rocks, in this case against Spells. This was not intentional, as I first got the inspiration of the effect from the artwork, where the monster seems to be restrained with those green amulets/rings (hence the name), then I worked with the anti-Spell theme.

Thoughts?

EDIT:

Added "Once per turn" on Oxyr's second effect.

The way its worded, anytime, when any effect is activated this card gains whooping 1000 ATK and destruction immunity. Also the ritual card prevents all effects for the rest of the turn and also this is single card discussion i think this belongs to multiple cards.Anyway u should change it to "Spell cards or Spell card's effects"... other than that i really like how u made a viable ritual monster in that its summoned also from the deck and the overall card design is cool.

Thanks for your comment.

You are right. I missed the "Once per turn" clause on Oxyr.

And to clear it up: In the Ritual Spell 2nd effect, "Other Spell Cards or effects" refers to the effects of Spell Cards exclusively, including those that are already on the field ("Once per turn" Continuous Spells like Tensu, etc.), and not all effects. I took this OCG from "The Big Cattle Drive".
